BEYOND THE TRAIL 365 San Diego, ocean or La Jolla beach. If you have a better suggestion or spot we are up for it. He’s 9 and fishes the lakes a lot, we will be driving from AZ

Wow, all the way from AZ! I’m not familiar with La Jolla, but I do know there a certain areas that you can’t fish there. So do the research before you fish there. Try Torrey pines. Nice beach, but with heat lately and Covid, the beaches are packed. Go really early if you want to find parking.

I’m worried about moving up to Washington for the same reason and I’m from SD so I guess I think I have somewhat good fishing and I’m sure u felt similar. hopefully they got good fish up there too

i don’t understand how people cast a 3/8th oz lucky craft so far, really how do y’all do it? is it the 9’ rod? The thin 30lbs braid? please someone drop some knowledge

It’s actually 5/8ths. I would also have to watch this video again, because we may be tossing an LC 115, which is 3/4oz. And yes, the braid too.

That’s a good question. There are a few factors to that. Depending on the tide and structure, sometimes you’ll have to bomb it out there, or sometimes it could be ten feet in front of you. Just need to get out there and cast away. You’ll figure it out. 🤙🏽

They aren't citing if you have your license. DFG is encouraging you to get out there as long as you're maintaining a safe distance from others

You can catch them year round here in so cal. But, the best months are probably the winter months. Plus, the beaches are less crowded. 🤙🏽

U recall what the tides were doing when you were fishing? Height? Low to high etc?

I’m really not too sure, this was about a month ago. If my memory serves me right, it was an early high tide. Big swing with a negative low in the afternoon. I think 😎🤙🏽 thanks for the comment!

Nice video! I’m from Orange County and I haven’t had much luck with the LC 110 in various colors... gotta try the 115. Whats your favorite 115 color pattern, and why do you take the middle treble off? Keep them coming man love these vids!

Just a preference I guess. I just feel it’s easier to remove hooks and less damage to the fish. Doesn’t seem to affect the action of the LC. I’ve been told many times that the best color is the one with the sharpest hooks 😉 thanks for love brotha, I really do appreciate it!! 🤙🏽

I personally never had an audio issue with the GoPro internal mic, maybe just make sure your firmware is up to date, hope that helps
