Rodriguez' daughters are all so beautiful - she's almost fifty when this was filmed! - and all so smart and well bred He was not only a great artist, but he obviously raised his daughters very well....Nice work brother

I used to watch Mtv Latin America since the 90's, until early 2000's, there was a spot called "Mtv Around the world" consisted in shorts of musicians performs around the world in a corner of the tv they prompted the country, then artist name like Bjorn, and other Germans indi musicians, russians, brasialians etc, almost that was 23 years ago I am sure Sixto was in there, and I have been carried that memory all this years until 2 weeks ago, from nothing weirdly I got from mind such memory I immediately googled "Sixto Rodriguez South Africa" to discover he has a documentary Oscar Won and that amazing real story, I have watched 3 times the documentary so far it is so inspirational.

in the doc interview, Mr Avant implies he didnt sell anything to RSA (or other countries) - his story: there was a huge black market for the albums, and people were illegally selling copies since many of the songs were prohibited by the government on top. So, he is claiming his record company wouldnt have been able to sell the music in RSA...
