I'm italian and let me say that it's extremely funny to see how many tourists simply don't understand that there's not a better pizzeria or a better pizza in Naples. It's simply a matter of taste. They read a tourist guide or Tripadvisor, and think that they have to go absolutely there, and stay in line for hours. My God...🤣🤣

I'm from California and we mostly have commercial pizza. I was in New York in 2005, Manhattan to be exact. In Penn Station there was a place called Rose's Pizza. That was the best pizza that I've ever tasted. Me and my buddy, we still talk about it to this day.

Czech Naples is not dangerous, i am from London and i visited Italy a few times including Naples, you should visit Bari in Italy it is nice.

You get out of hand in Naples then it's not so friendly....in the late 90s it became very dangerous as the heroin trade increased gang violences. It has toned down alot but 'Gomorrah' still runs alot of netwerks of businesses thru the city. I know cause I investigated it for a book...and I was born in a nearby town. Naples is a city no one forgets!!!

I've been to quite a few countries while in the US Navy and just going to countries made me more humble to people outside of the U.S. BTW.......You ended up back at the portrait you started at the beginning of the vid of that pope on the building.

Please don't perpetuate the myth that Napoli is dangerous. It's no more dangerous than any large city in Europe or the US. I love Napoli and it hurts my heart when people keep telling that story about it being dangerous. The people of Napoli are amazing, welcoming, sincere and fascinating. I take tour groups back and forth from the US to Italy and my groups always love Napoli more than Rome. I've never had a single incident in Napoli, even when I'm traveling alone but lots of my travelers have been scammed or pick-pocketed in Rome. I also hope that you go to the beautiful areas of Napoli. It is a magical city and I hope you show some of it's history and beauty. It's beats Rome hands down.

Napolis comes "Nea Polis" or "New City" and was an Ancient Greek Colony. Also, the first Pizza came from Napoli, the most famous style being made for and named after the Queen Margherita!

Hello guys i’m from Napoli,i’m studyng here and i want to give you my point of view of this city. this city was once dangerous like in the 80s but now it’s a great city , incredible history one of the best Street food in italy and you are 30 min from Vesuvio Sorrento and Capri. Dont be scared of Napoli. If you came here you can see the truly italian tradition and life. Better than venice rome ecc. those cities are super touristic , Napoli is still a real one. When I was there in the later '80's there were almost no tourists. It was such a difference from Rome like you said - Darker, dirtier and rougher. Felt borderline unsafe at times. Garbage was piled in the streets because of a workers strike. First place I went in to eat I looked a what other people were having and they all tried to give me food off their plates. Amazing wonderful people. I stood out as a tall white guy and I learned that if people seemed unfriendly a bit too me it was because they assumed I was German. Once I cleared that up it was all love for the American. I love Napoli as you do. Take care and thanks.

Great as always, Czech..when I was there, luckily most natives i came across spoke some English. What's surprising is I picked up basic Italian better than i did Spanish. Yes, in the smaller towns the people were friendlier, but even in Rome, they were nice, just rushed. My only bad experience there was getting stopped in the Rome airport by two cops but once they saw that blue book, they relaxed a bit. Almost made me miss my damn flight back to the U.S., though lol. Next time i'm over there will try to hit Sicily
