SEARCHING For WINNING Fish on Lake Toho | Prefishing For Slay Nation Central FL Trail

This will be my first tournament of the year. So I am wanting to have a strong start! Today I am practicing for the tournament next week. We will be fishing Lake Toho in Central Florida. It’s a great fishery and has a history of Giant bass! I have several ideas but I need to cover a ton of water. Cool video. I have never been on a lake that big with my yak. Are there any considerations you make on that size of water rather than smaller water like Teneroc? Any additional safety issues?

Thanks Brian! Personally I always have extra food and water. Outside of that just your normal safe precautions. I always make sure my wife knows where I am going too. But I try to launch and not have to go more the 1-2 miles from the launch to my first fishing spot. Fishing big water can be challenging… but it can also be very rewarding!

Great video, as always. What are your thoughts on soft plastic swimbaits, such as the Gamber Big EZ, 6th Sense Whale or even the new 6th Sense Judge? Haven't been out fishing much this year. Hope to get to Lake Tarpon next week to try some swimbaits.

Thanks as always Steven! It’s funny you say that… I have been trying to figure out where that fits in my arsenal. I have thrown the big ez with limited success. I just bought a Berkeley Cull Shad to try to better my swimbait game. I would try a Rage Tail 3.75” with a 3/0 swimbait hook and gain some confidence there first. Then increase your bait size. That’s something I need to try myself! Haha! Hope that helps! Stay safe out there hope you get to go fish.
