@@freda3995 I don't think he accepts much if any payment, like people have asked how much he wants, what's his venmo, can they do anything for him (like a favour) and usually he declines and just mentions his KZbin channel. Sounds more like a hobby to me, and I have made some people like him where doing this, finding people's stuff and having fun along the way is payment enough. Getting to do something they love while helping others.

You couldn't calculate the odds of finding all three. Yes, they may have all hit the water in a tight pattern, but that means nothing to the tides, current, waves, and saturation of the sand. Especially after 24 hours or more! The utter relief on the faces of both these ladies, made me very happy for you and them. Great job!

Her description of the ring was jeweler precise. If you were to ask her husband, if he's anything like me, it would have been "it's about this wide, this round, and shiny! " 😁 I just bought a metal detector, beginner quality, but came across many like channels, but have been drawn to this channel. You do great work with helping people! Very enjoyable to watch and just feel good! Maybe one day I'll get to your skill level and be able to do the same for others.

Coming back to catch up after a busy summer. One of your best videos yet. So interesting learning how the water moved the sand so much in judt a short few hours or even minutes. Ive spent very little time at the beach and live in landlocked Kentucky. I enjoy not just the recoveries,but how you talk about the different beaches, their characteristics, and what happens to things that are lost. Before I started watching this channel I would have assumed *everything* got washed out to deep water and would stay there. Total ignorance of how the beach works. Thanks for sharing this great hobby with us!

Man, I really think you’re kinda shortchanging yourself by not charging anything. If I lost a valuable and especially sentimental piece of jewelry, I would be MORE than happy to pay someone to find it. I definitely understand how rewarding it is in itself to just help someone but you’ve got time and money invested in this that should be being compensated for. Maybe just work on a “pay-me-what-you-want” basis or something like that.

Not trying to insult you, but you don't understand metal detecting. You Tube aside, the reward(and satisfaction) one gets from recovering something special comes back to you ten-fold. Google some of the stories of recoveries, especially ones involving class rings. You truly cannot put a price on it.

When you recover something for somebody, you become part of that items history & story. Handing back a ring or a phone or anything is such a buzz for people who do this, its very addictive. Lighting the face up of someone who's given up all hope just can't be matched, its like handing puppies out to kids. 😂 And best of all, its wrapped around one of the coolest of hobbies.

If you are going to wear your ring(s) to the beach because you don't want to leave them in your hotel room for fear of theft, take plenty of waterproof band-aids and tape it(them) onto your finger(s). A cheap fix.

Just keep in mind that if a person is swinging their arm at the time multiple rings come off they could actually be twenty feet apart at splashdown. They are not always going to be close together.
