The new audio-vlog mic system works really well. I can hear your voice and the roar of the tractor simultaneously.

Looks and sounds great. Can't wait to get mine done. You MUST leave the stack, or some sort of stack. A diesel tractor has to have one. It just wouldn't be right otherwise!
@Fearlessfront9 жыл бұрын
hopaktruck I hear ya, but after breathing it for over a year, I'm getting sick of smelling it. It really sucks on long trail rides. Plus, it sits at ear level, so it's really loud as well.

Taller stack needed is all. Chooch it up and away I say. Smaller bore would fire it further up too. No bend at top to slow it down. No rain cap to rattle, maybe a bean can...

It's like that old "George of the Jungle" joke... "Hey, George...!" "Watch out for that tree.!!" (SPLAT.!) I think you need a square tube "push bar" protecting the front end. You shouldn't use the nerf bar style though it wouldn't look right with the square style lines. That tractor would also look incredible with stainless accents around the vent holes on hood and maybe flat stainless wheel covers. Damn... I have to start looking for a sears.!!

Just a thought on the stack if you move it forward and make it a tad taller it should reduce the fumes that's how I have it my tractor and it blows more smoke than the diesel because it burns oil

Audio quality excellent. Unbelievable low rpm torque from the diesel. with its ground clearance, the Sears can outdo many conventional 2 wheel drive atvs and probably some 4 wheel drive ones as well when tackling the really rough stuff. The Sears transaxle is stronger than any conventional ATV drivetrain as well: That tractor had an actual ground breaking plow attachment available. I would move the muffler and also construct a more substantial front brush guard.
@Fearlessfront9 жыл бұрын
WeldstarCreations Definitely going to move that stack. It's been driving me nuts lately.

Awesome video!!! Love the vlogging... And if I was you when you made the sears... I would of made a pulley jackshaft too keep the weight of engine even... So you could drop into mud holes...
@Fearlessfront9 жыл бұрын
carshowkid51 there's no space for a jackshaft, as it is I had to slide the grill forward 1" to fit the motor. If I centered it, then the clutch would hit the engine block when pushed in. My options were pretty limited with this motor because of it's size
@carshowkid519 жыл бұрын
Fearlessfront gotch ya! yeah that is a big motor to fit in a tractor

@galaxie500xl79 жыл бұрын
You have the best of both worlds. One that will go fast on trails and still play in the mud. And another one that may not be as fast, But will pull up stumps. If you were to tie these two together, as far as pulling goes, The Sears would pull the Murray all over the place. But the faster one, Seems to me would be the Murray.
@Fearlessfront9 жыл бұрын
GALAXIE 500XL Yep! right on the money! The murray gets your adrenaline pumping, whereas the sears is more relaxing and comfortable to drive. Capable of going through waaay deeper mud too!

Ever thought about adding a 4x4 front axle to the sears like putting a rear axle off a all wheel steer mower flipped around on the front of it making it a 4x4 ???
@daw71899 жыл бұрын
I agree with redlinemotorsports, stacks are cool but not very practical on anything else but a pulling tractor. Maybe you can install a counterweight somehow to balance out the offset engine???

New audio setup works great. So if one was to build a tractor of that size what series Sears Suburban or even other brand would you think would work? That seems to have more than enough pulling power and grunt power. I read on many places about making sure you get the right rear end or transaxle to make sure they are good and strong. Sadly when I try to research this it seems tons of mixed information. My daughter whom is a small person just wants a good solid smaller platform that she can use for place. Your build there sure seems like its a beast that would out pull anything around of that size.
@Fearlessfront9 жыл бұрын
spudrubble It's pretty rugged, this one has a 633a38 transaxle in it, has round 1" axles, other model's have a hex-bore instead. Supposedly they aren't as strong, but they're probably fine for mudding and pulling around the house... I think the people who competitively pull are the one's who find the weak points.

@ratedredneck969 жыл бұрын
Fearlessfront How hard would it be to refurbish a sears? I have one almost just like it with the stock 16 horse onan twin. I was thinkin about cashin in on the onan cause they are expensive to repair but i may try to clean the points and stuff to get it runnin. I have the main frame of the sears but the hood is gone sadly. I still have the massive transaxle but i pulled it out to maybe use it on another mower. What do you think i should do? Your videos are great and i watch all of them so keep up the great work. Stay strong and romp on.
