My mom bought me a Sears 1000 MXB. It was made by Mamiya. We didn't have the money for a Canon or Nikon or other "big name" brand. But my mom had a Sears charge card. So that's what I ended up with. The camera was so simple and the lens was fantastic. I gave it to a friend after I graduated from college. But I recently bought another from eBay. Great Camera! Love your videos!

Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I’ll have to keep an eye out for that Sears 1000 MXB, I love Mamiya cameras. I like how simple the Sears cameras are too since they were trying to market them to the average consumer. I was pleasantly surprised by the lens on my KS Super II. I do wish it had a dedicated multiple exposure mode, but other than that, I really love shooting with it! ✨☺️✨

I'm happy being able to follow your first adventure in 2025. The camera brand ricoh indeed reminds me in the 1980. Then ricoh cameras have been distributed in Germany as well. I bought my first camera ever then. It was a film compact camera with autofocus..... Cape charles in deed is a picturesque place. Thank you for presenting us the ks super II. Watching you introducing it i get the impression, that it has the potential developing to one of your favourites. You succeed again in taking gorgeous double exposures. The first one with chris is so cool. I feel glad for you, that you could take a picture of a lighthouse. You told me, that they are one of your favourite foto-stops. I love the flower pics you have taken. My absolute favourite pic is showing you sitting on the wall watching the sunset. I'm looking forward when you are sharing your next adventures. Have a great time until then.

Thanks so much for always watching and being supportive of our adventures! ☺️ The KS Super II definitely has the potential to become one of my go-to cameras. I love the photos of the sunset over the water too. 🌊 Cape Charles was a lovely place to visit, I hope we can go back sometime soon. Next time I’m in Europe I’m hoping to pick up some vintage cameras since they are a little different than the ones here. Plus, I always need new cameras to review! ✨📸✨

Double exposure is easy if you take a photo then hold the film release button in and hold the film rewind knob from turning as you advance the film lever also cocks the shutter to take the second photo

Ohhh I will have to try this method! That sounds much for reliable then just winding the film back. Adding this to my to-do list! ✨☺️✨

The loops on the strap are used to hold film in their original container and are probably stretched out from years of use. I had a similar strap in 1974

That’s what I figured, but thank you for clarifying! They look a little strange now that they’re so stretched out but I still like the strap! It would be nice if they were actually functional though haha. Thanks for commenting! 📸
