Truth. 😉

Man, this game is daunting to me. Really wanna do the whole war, but I don't know if I can absorb both all the rules and the possible strategies. This one may sit on the shelf for some time for me.

I can totally understand and in someways always have that initial inertia to overcome. However, my advice is to set it all up and start slow playing only a turn or two in a sitting. Then before you know it, you'll be thinking about possible moves etc. in your free/down time or how other players you're familiar with would act/react. At least that's what happens to me😉 Thanks for checking out the channel!

The rules look pretty simple. Lots of counters though.

How would you rate it for solo play? Hidden info?
@DungeonBrushBabbles3 ай бұрын
It's doesn't really lend itself to solo play, however if you complete your moves for a nationality then leave it for a day or so and do the other side it works fine for a blow out like myself.😉

I got my copy of War At Sea in 1982. I was a junior in high school. Played it and VictoryitP many times. I'm working on Atlantic Chase and Pacific War right now. But thanks for the video. The new battle flow chart looks like a really cool addition to the system.

@@meenki347 Great games those old Avalon Hill titles, even after many years. I recently purchased Atlantic Chase but haven't had the chance to play/digest rules yet but am looking forward to it. Thanks for checking out the channel!

Damn caspian sea and black sea almost became an ocean on that map

Haha! You ain't lying. I believe the designer said something along the lines of the map looks the way it does because it was designed to be a single fold out board so landmasses etc had to be smushed. All in all, tis a minor quibble for me as the game itself is aces. Thanks for checking out the channel!

They need to fix the map so diagonal movement isn’t there

please limit the profanity. I'm watching this at my workplace. just a suggestion. i really like your channel! i just need it to be totally famiyl friendly. thanks! :-)

I liked the profanity, it just sounds natural. But agreed that this will make the video less family/workplace friendly.
@DungeonBrushBabbles Жыл бұрын
I appreciate the comments/criticism. It took me awhile to respond to this as it threw me a bit. However, I don't go outta my way to use profanity. It just happens, and I have no plans on refraining in the future. Also I never edit any of my content. I literally sit down, turn the camera on, and go, then post it. If that's not your thing that's cool I get it, plenty of other channels to watch, but I don't plan on compromising my hobby truth or actual personality. Also stop watching videos at work ya loafers (even mine)!😜
