As you pass under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge; going north, Iam on the Island to your right. Kent Island. As a pass waterman. The bay is our life. We love and respect it. Annapolis is across the bay and very popular destination for boaters. Enjoy this leg of your journey and safe travels. Thanks for sharing your trip !!!

That’s awesome Ricky! We’ve been around this area for the last few months and its amazing the dedication and work ethic of the local watermen! It’s inspirational

hi Guys! Another Great Video. Time for another Nautical Terminology Lesson. "LAND HO!" "SHIP AHOY!" and when hailing another boat without electronics it's "AHOY the (name the vessel)". Keep em coming!

I cannot believe how large the Chesapeake Bay is!! It looked like you were in the middle of ocean. Glad the day cleared up for you though, those sunny afternoon days always look so nice 😍☀️

You guys are on a great adventure. It’s fun to follow along. I happen to be stalking…..err following a friend and his wife headed south down the Intra coastal to FL presently. Our whole group of friends are doing the same living vicariously through them. We are all hoping to do it in couple of years when we retire. You guys are great entertainment as well as educational as we learn from your trials along the way. Keep it up and keep having fun.

I'm catching up watching some of your videos, while folding napkins for Thanksgiving dinner. (smile). I love watching your videos, especially how authentic you are. I am wondering what the wave height was on the Chesapeake (if you remember).
@SchoandJo3 жыл бұрын
Happy Thanksgiving Kim! Thanks for the kind words - I don't fully remember but some crashed around Pivot's Bow height so maybe 3-4 feet?
@NeverStopAdventuring3 жыл бұрын
The sheer size of the ships in Norfolk compared as you boated past, wow!
@SchoandJo3 жыл бұрын
Seriously they are huge! And we think Pivot is big for us haha

I almost got a bit seasick seeing those waves! Congrats on making it to the Chesapeake! Smith Island looks like such a neat place. It’s so cool and special to think about the places you’re able to see because of Pivot!

I’m wondering why you don’t sand and varnish some of the outside wood trim. Looks like a nice boat. You should keep it up on the nice days you are mooring or docking.
@SchoandJo3 жыл бұрын
Definitely something we want to do more of this! Not enough time right now though, but soon we are going to budget a little time a week to our trim! I think we are going to end up sanding away all the varnish and letting it grey naturally, for less upkeep and kind of an overall muted tone.

Not knowing this then, we were in St. Michael’s on the 25th of May at the Looper Crawl. Came through Norfolk a few days later and were awestruck at the massive ships. Great vid. Thanks. D.

Thanks for documenting your Great Loop travels. As a boater, I appreciate the travel tips. It would be great if you had other camera angles to show exactly what's happening dock level as you come in to dock. Could make some good content. Safe travels.

Not sure where you may be now but, living on the bay, try not the miss Annapolis, St Michael’s, Oxford, Kent Island, Rock Hall… (sorry list is scattered) … Chesapeake City on the C&D… don’t get me wrong, I love Baltimore but IMHO keep it to Harbor East and Fells Point if you make it. The Chesapeake is awesome!!!
