Check out seaskin's guide to talcing up the tape on the inside of the suit! Apparently that kills the grip and also extends the life of the tape.

I've been diving with the Sci-Tech round rings for about four years, and I like them, although I'm thinking now the oval may have been a better choice. The reason I went with Sci-Tech is because of the universal compatibility with the seals. I can use any brand. Are the DUI Zips limited to the DUI brand.

I like the versatility as well. I think it’s just a matter of getting used to stiff rings on the wrists. As for the DUI zip seals. Yes they are proprietary. Only DUI and two authorized repair shops are able to install them. Malibu Scuba Repair being one of the two.

I love those SiTech Quick Cuff rings. I put them on all my suits. They not only allow for a good number of glove ring systems, however, the best thing is, they allow you to use pull-over dry gloves. Imagine being able to use a pair of dry gloves without spending any more money on a dry glove ring system? Also imagine maintaining full range of motion for your hands and wrists while wearing dry gloves by not adding another component to the wrist rings that extends them further. 😎

I will certainly look into the dry gloves. It’s more than likely just getting used to them. I went from glued on seals for years to the DUI zip seals, now these hardened rings. I’m sure it’s just a learning curve.
