God bless you both! We need more to touch on these subjects concerning how to interpret scripture. Too many try to make a big deal in interpretation and go way off. A Catholic apologist recently told me the RCC believes the woman crowned with twelve stars is Mary. I explained that it represents Israel with its twelve tribes. He said both interpretations are correct. I disagreed.

The literal interpretation of the woman in Revelation 12 is that the mother of the messiah is Mary, the allegorical/symbolic interpretation is that the Woman with the crown symbolically means the mother of the twelves tribes.

@ the literal mothers of the twelve tribes were Jacob’s, or Israel’s, wives and the wives’ two female servants. This passage in Revelation is symbolic. Mary is not the mother of the 12 tribes of Israel from the book of Genesis.

What about preterism .I live in West Michigan and a few churches are now teaching it happened and the revelation 13 was talking about the Caesar Domitian! My friend and a few other ppl I know go to this church . The pastor went to Turkey to study 7 churches and this is what they taught . How do I approach that one !? I googled Domitian .. and It is the same teaching as Rob Bell

I think it’s the battle of man’s word vs Gods word. Rome had a huge investment in having it past tense - they are the “fulfillment”. (How horrifyingly empty a belief!) Jesus said few would find His Way. Look how LITERAL Jesus fulfilled prophesy of first coming. He does not change - yes many will say you are wrong. The Spirit will be with you though & quite a few if you look😊 Beware of those who only learn from others + tradition. The explain away the Word & insult God.

Most of Revelation is not literal. Most people are unable to read and interpret the Scriptures correctly because they do not have the Holy Spirit to inspire them. "Hail and fire mixed with blood" cannot be literal.

Pre-tribers use words that mislead believers. Revelation uses SIGNS, this is a FACT. SYMBOLIZM is NOT myth, it's a FACT. What pre-tribers don't understand is that these symbols REPRESENT things that are NOT to be taken literally. Who in their right mind would say a LITERAL beast with 7 heads will rise out of the sea. Rev13:1. THIS BEAST represents something that is literal. NOT a literal beast. THIS is how to understand the entire book of revelation. For example, pre-tribers think the 144,000 are a literal number of Jews. FALSE! Rev14:1 is the ONE and ONLY return of Jesus. So, WHO does Jesus bring with him when he returns? Zech 14:4-5 ALL the SAINTS. 1Thes 3:13 ALL the SAINTS. This is how to understand Gods word CORRECTLY. Isa 28:10. NOT by reading every verse in revelation LITERALLY!!! Of course, my pre-trib brothers and sisters could care less about the TRUTH. They prefer to follow BOOK writers. 2Tm4:3-4

@@Godsambassador3 Did I say it was a salvation issue? Mt 5:19. This is a TRUTH issue. Do you approve of FALSE teachings? If NOT, then why do you believe in the pre-trib lie? You could at least show me your scriptures that CLEARLY teach it. (I mean that you twist)
