I shipped Devi & Ben from the beginning. I love them. They have so much chemistry, also enemies to lovers hello?? And Devi describes Paxton as hot and Ben as smart, so it's obvious for me, hello?? Also she has like nothing in common with Paxton & with Ben she has so much in common, they are both smart & engaged in projects and that relationship would be so cuuute! Also Ben likes to talk to Devis friends, but Paxton has never really talked to them & Devi also doesn't have anything to do with Paxtons friends. Devis friends don't even like Paxton that much, they clearly like Ben more, you can tell. I LOVE BENVI and I love that you're shipping them too. Also yeah, devis decisions are really bad sometimes, she does stupid things. But that's why I like her so much - she's what, 16? She's young and makes mistakes and I think we were all there. Not having two relationships at the same maybe, but other stupid things that we're also very ashamed for! She is relatable to me, just like Ginny from Ginny & Georgia. So I really like Devi & NHIE Also, Paxton thought that was a date?? hanging with his friends & devi? that's craaazyyy man 😭😭 Devi & Ben are both cuute and overthinking and insecure. And Paxton.. isn't really. He's much more confident, he just doesn't match with Devi

You can tell when Devi makes her pros/cons list she really does want to choose Ben. His reasons for being the right choice are real and Paxton’s are shallow and a fantasy. And same for the cons, Ben’s are kinda silly and Paxton’s are legit why they don’t make sense together in the long run (I say this while adoring Paxton as a character). But Devi literally ARGUES FOR BEN in the scene with Fab and Eleanor and at the party she’s looking at him when she says “I just like you both so much”. And when Paxton leaves she’s still looking at Ben and it takes her a second to turn and go after Paxton. For me Pax always felt like fantasy and Ben felt like reality.

You can tell that Ben was utterly heartbroken when he found out. Paxton was obviously hurt too, but it hit Ben more. And then she followed Paxton, which only made it worse.

Ben was utterly heartbroken and it showed so clearly. Paxton was hurt, I suppose, but not to the same extent. It also helped that Jaren Lewison is a terrific actor so it was crystal clear what Ben was feeling all of the time

During all of season 1 and half of season 2 I didn’t like Paxton either. We have to remember that these are just kids who are trying to navigate life by making mistakes and learning from them. This is not a spoiler. But throughout the show everyone had personal growth except for Ben. He stayed the same entitled, self righteous, prick till the end. Devi grew and healed, Devi’s friends had growth, and Paxton had the most personal growth. So I’m a Paxton girl for life.

As someone who for the most part HATES love triangles like REALLY hates them, this show is one that does it so well. They never villainize either guy or make them compete over Devi. They are completely different but you can see things in both of them that she likes. Everyone gets development. It’s just really great. 🩵 That said, I was a benvi from the moment Ben appeared on screen and I never wavered lol.
