At first I was not gonna watch it because of the hate it received, but then I saw some of the clips of the movie, so I decided to watch it and I really enjoyed it. I don't get the hate. I feel like it is easy to nitpick when you saw the og movie and musical. I did saw the og movie and musical but I still loved the movie. As a stand alone I think it's good

the two damian in two versions are both iconic, they really chose a good damian in 2024 the OG damian will be proud. for Musical lovers they will appreciate this version. but for people who really love the OG version, i understand if they don't like this musical remake.

One thing I noticed that I thought was funny until I realized how bad it was, Regina's mom, when she brings in the snacks she picks up a cupcake and just starts sniffing it like it's cocaine. I didn't understand why she didn't just eat it until I remembered that sniffing food you want but "can't eat" was supposed to replace you actually eating it.

I didn't mind the movie, I didn't like that tiktok was used throughout the whole thing, it made it feel a little tacky in my opinion. The songs on the Broadway show are definitely performed better and I kinda wish they casted a kady who could actually sing the songs, though I do actually like the actress who played her just not her singing so much. It was fun though and Renee is amazing, I found the actress who played Karen great shes very funny and I also liked Damien's actor, however I wish his songs were included

the script was just bad.. thats what most reviewers thought.. even renee thought it was eeek! the cast did the most they could do with it.. this is by no means a perfect film.. it was just the script and the directors were new as this is their first debut film.. but it was ok.. the songs were toned down than the orginal but i could live with it!

I saw the musical live with a friend, the same friend whom I went to see this movie with! I love the 2004 movie and musical, this remake it’s not my favorite but it had some great moments 🥰 Damian and Janis in this were ICONIC I love them

I'm one of the people that could not enjoy this movie. I would have loved to but it just didn't do it for me. Either way I could see right away the casting wasn't the problem the plastics, in particular, were so fucking well cast. Reneé has magnetism for days everytime she was on-screen she stole the fucking show, and that's regina for you.

Some people don't like the movie because it's a musical, but I'm glad actually. The 2000`s movie is a classic, peak cinema in a lot of ways but more than that, it;s also a self-portrait of what people's cultures were at that time. You see, that highschool from the original movie may not be exactly what everyone had at the time, but it's a very close depiction of what teenagers were from 2000 to 2010's, and this new movie is way more current times. No one would come out in 2000`s and people would say "she's an ally" you know? It's outdated, yes, but I think it's a cultural movie that shows how much we changed with inclusion these last decades. I also love that since the OG movie is not a musical (even if it is a movie that came from a Brodway musical), it's still good. So one movie doesn't replace the other, and frankly, people said this movie is High School Musical, but I WISH High School Musical had the same level of quality this movie had. I can see Mean Girls 2024 aging pretty well too. I can't see anyone watching High School Musical now and saying: Wow, best songs ever! It's so... silly. Anyways, I love it. Awesome movie

As someone who hadn't seen the actual musical before seeking this I loved it and had so much fun seeing it. I get why some people disliked the changes to the songs having now listened to the broadway versions but I think they fit well within the movie. Also the casting was such a slay. Omg also the "hormones" joke and the little scooter bit that Damien did got me cackling.
