Good filming in wet weather of a magnificent railway with a high frequency of excellent modern trains.... but none of them stop at the Hillingtons! (Well, hardly any.) Both stations are bleak and not exactly attractive to passengers. To be fair, Hillington East was built only in 1934; and Hillington West in 1940 as a wartime station for people working in the extensive industrial estate north of the main line. They do serve the residential area to the south, but not a large population. Neither ever had good facilities. Hillington West does have an access from Linburn Road so the residents know where it is, even if visitors would be hard put to find it. Fortunately the parallel Paisley Canal line to the south, which serves residential areas much better, after the regrettable closure of 1983, was reopened and now has a good electric service.
