How come they always start a new season off an nba player. Why not get creative and do a season based off a movie or a show related to basketball. I did research into why live went away, what happened was EA wanted to take their game in the direction 2k has come to with micro transactions. However they were gonna make the game available for free and the NBA didn't like the idea of the game being free; so the sold exclusive licensing to 2k games. So EA couldn't use players names and likeness after that, and who wants an NBA game that doesn't feature the use of actual NBA players?
