Every time I watch an episode and make a decision to just listen, then, something unexpected happens, more like the punch line in a song and I am compelled to comment. ALL I can say in fine , Jamaican talk is...SIM YU BUSS. When Janella's mom appeared, 'OUT A ZOOM', the tears just came. What an unforgettable moment. It was like watching a good movie with a happy ending. Another high point for me, was actually seeing Janella again. I remember not wanting to miss the evening the news, as I had to listen to her enunciation, but, more importantly I had to see her new dreadlocks hairstyle. I was in awe at to how neatly her hair was always, groomed to perfection. Gwaan do yu ting strong black woman. You are surrounded by LOVE and an inspiration to many. Postpartum depression need to be spoken about more often , not everyone have the knowledge of it, and even who are and have experienced it have no clue what it is. Trust me that complexion topic is still very rampant especially in my field of Tourism. The colonial mindset that the lighter your complexion or the silkier your hair is the more fitting you are for certain departments. As much as they try to downplay it and say tourism is providing mass employment, trust me the colorism v quality plays a part in you being hired in certain depts more than your experience and qualification.
