At 5:33'ish, y'all were talking about fur uses, and their value for use. I was wondering how much a decent pelt brings for y'all, and to what extent they have to be dressed out before a fur buyer will purchase them? In my neck of the woods, the pelts have to be "totally" stripped (and I mean "clean") of all residue, and they only bring from $5.00 to $25.00, depending on the condition and thickness of the fur. That's why nobody bothers with the pelts after the predator harvest. I'd love to hear what you have to say. Great footage; "Thumbs up" from this Kentucky boy.

n00b question : On a few episodes now, I've heard Al mention the Full Moon. What's the deal with how that might effect the Coyotes? Is the idea that on a Full Moon they're hunting more into the night and thus, sleeping-in more in the morning? Is that the thinking there?

Great video but Al's EOTech optic isn't doing him any favors. It's obvious he isn't thrilled with it. His current Nightforce scope results in way less wounded and missed coyotes.

I love your 3000$ scope on your 450$ rifle lol
@jacklucas72657 жыл бұрын
From what I saw the scope is a Nightforce SHV and is about $1K. The rifle looks like a Ruger American, but I doubt it's the same one you or I would get out of the box. No doubt the barrel and trigger have been optimized. Product placement that's how they defray some of the cost of making the videos. Still, the scope and sometimes the rifle are good products, they are just not what we would get over the counter at retail.

His rifle is the Ruger SR 556 which is a gas piston operated AR, this variant runs around $1500.

Tactical Teacher here: First advice to new clients; always budget 2x your rifle cost on optics. Simple reason, cheaper optics will always let you down, potentially ruining your hunt / experience/ match/shoot off/ tournament. It’s tough also to put a price on confidence. My 1000 yard competition rig is an Accuracy International AT .308/.260 switch barrel with a Schmidt & Bender PM2 3-21-50mm H59 reticle. No more messing around. 30 years of Service Rifle and Sniper Rifle matches behind me, I just quit smoking and drinking. My practice and hunting rigs (both M700 Remmy Varmints/SPS) in KRG Bravos wear 34mm tubed Bushnell HDMR2 with H59 reticles. So that’s how you afford/save up for/ budget for great optics; just quit smoking and drinking.... besides your wife /kids get everything when you kick the bucket. Win-Win! BooooyaaH!! Stay strong, stay safe during this Nov election of 2020 during Covid, my American cousins!!
