Im kinda new to this game and i still dont understand why speed is so important can someone clarify it?

Speed is king. If you don't move first before your opponents, you get rekt.

Some teams ka OTKO yours if they go first. Imagine an opponent with William+Mereoleona combo on first turn then a speedy Witch Queen ulti next will be a speedy BAsta 2nd skill then finish with Mereoleona ulti (if she KO someone) next Mereo's 2nd skill. And your team is out sped and out stats. At least if you're speedy enough (in this case opponent william could be maxspeed so cant do anything either way), you can at least cast sa defensive buffs
