@nasseralkhelaifi18533 жыл бұрын
@@rhoelg the su57 for instance has a similar cockpit : there’s an hud instead of a full hmd system, and a smaller screen above the big mfd. There is an helmet mounted display too. The hud has less informations since there is a smaller display right below it. Not having the hud on the helmet mounted display is more safe in case of failure, and f35 pilots reported “green fog” when using their hmd during landing phases, so russians took a different path, but in the end it’s as effective

Eh VTOL VR lacks realism. It’s not as pretty and has fictional aircraft. The cockpits also aren’t perfectly modeled true to life. I’d say India Fox Echoes F-35 is the closest replica out there if you don’t mind no weapons. There’s also Lockheed P3D if you want attack capability.

@@rzr2ffe325 well ofcourse not you big goof, they cant simulate a classified cockpit because there isnt pictures of it you can work from. The reason it's not pretty is because it has to run well as a VR game, as well as have your PC run all the AI, and missile guidance to a realistic standard

nice thing about sims is they can also be time machines. I love flying a WWI biplane over France about 1917 or so - and that was by no means easy, in some ways was just as complicated if not more so than modern planes.
@greennewworld82912 жыл бұрын
Amazing gentleman who guided you, he made this video really interesting, what a nice one ! What I wonder is whether the ease of flying compensates some of the lower manoeuvrability characteristics compared to some 4th gen fighters. The releasing the stick and the aircraft stays in this position without needing of a compensation makes the flight probably much more precise once used to it ! One other thing that I wonder is whether the ease of flying makes a big difference for a trained pilot compared to a F-16 of the USAF for example. Of course, for someone not being trained, the difference is massive. But for a professional pilot, I am really wondering. Of course, compared to a second and third generation jet, there is no discussion as there were so many indicators for the various sensors to control, and the navigation was definitely taking much more effort. So here I could see the impact of focusing more on the mission. If we take a Gripen E, the approach is very very similar, but what about the first generation of the Gripen, Rafale or Eurofighter? Really curious !
@JonHuhnMedical2 жыл бұрын
I suspect that even for a trained fighter pilot, having a machine that flies itself reduces fatigue and allows them to concentrate more on strategy during combat. It would be like a high paid executive hiring an admin assistant to handle everyday mundane tasks so that they can concentrate on running the company.
@Anderson_Hwang Жыл бұрын
The F-35 is better than F-16 in terms of nose authority (angle of attack), and better than the F/A-18 in terms of acceleration. It has a higher top speed compared to 4th gen planes carrying external stores. The F-35 is certainly not less maneoeuverable than 4th gen fighters
