Heck I'm not a very big fan of PvP but I would do BG's for dailies. I spammed BG's right before Wrath changed pvp and it was pretty fun farming honor witha good team

So actually Blizzard has added mechanics in classic in the past to nerf damage in pvp: in the 3rd or fourth expansion to Classic they introduced “resilience” as a stat on pvp gear, for this same exact purpose. So this is not as radical as its being made out to be. Also, we have no idea what % of damage decrease in pvp they are going to implement. We shall see.

Thank fuck, my lock is nearly full st bis and I don't even have time to react when a rogue or shaman come at me in wpvp literally deleted in one GCD, I have to look at my combat log to see wtf even happened to me.

As a healer its simply poor gameplay when people die faster then you can heal it makes your role feel meaningless in BGs so this is a great change.

It's travesty, I can't believe they did that, this game is desperate for new players and instead of baiting younger players to come in game they chase them away. I'm really shocked and that's why I find it strange that it's not one of main subjects people talk about. 30 days is like almost all phase. I understand they want to fight bots but why over players back, get some ingame GMs again or something like that to solve problem taht was neglected for so long. This will only slow them down a bit but wont do much in long run, maybe gold will have a bit higher black market price... Again it's just strange to me that for two weeks I haven't heard about it and I'm watching bunch of WoW related videos

Would like to see more reasons to pvp I got reasons to go raid. But for me I’m rank 7 exalted both factions wish they could add a perma progression for bgs maybe a few gold per win. Yes I know I sound like I can just play for fun but wow is a progression character and it is fun to earn more gold items ect… would love to see after you get exalted with a PVP faction you can earn like 5 gold per game I wouldn’t even farm gold normally I would just play bgs as it’s my favorite part of wow. But rn I better save up for my epic mount or I will be left behind so I gotta go do none pvp stuff. Idk I love wow pvp for all it’s faults it’s my favorite part of the game just wish they had a way to benefit your character while doing it

I have had a couple really heated debates recently over this. I get that i am on a PVP server but with the type and amount of one shot ganking is areas of the game that i feel really shouldnt be a thing it becomes very fustrating. We have timed events and other events people have access to 24-7. Are PVP players that bored that they have to go to areas and interrupt other players to the point they cannot get to their quest givers sometimes for hours? Why? Is it just normal pvp? Boredom? Or people just want to get easy rep bc they are that lazy. Of course if u are max level with half way decent gear ur going to kill someone if u jump them. Personally i like battlegrounds i like the fight the objective so if a lot of players have decided that ganking is their preference then yes along with that to make it a little more fair lowering damage to give someone else a chance is great….people that cry about it obviously just want the easy win 😂

Yeah I'm all for it, a damage reduction vs other players to offset the damage vs health scaling was definitely something that was needed considering the power spike of runes and new dungeon loot in SoD. We need to be able to last more than 3.5 secs in a fight 🤣

They tried this before. It makes pvp balancing worse, why? All pure dmg classes fall off cuz it only impacts dmg scaling. So all the hybrid classes, (anything that can throw a heal) will become s tier. Because the reduction doesnt effect there heals.

I will get back into PvP once they add another battleground.. right now I'm sick and tired of Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin. I still can't fathom WHY they didn't release Alterac Valley in phase 3. It feels like New World all over again where they have had the SAME OPR/BG for nearly 2 years now. They have ALOT of BG's they could add and forcing us into only 2 BG's for 3 phases, over 6 months now when they have plenty of BG's they could give us access to is just ridiculous. Also,.. STV added NOTHING for incentive to PvP with phase 3 for many of us.

Watch my short I have posted and you'll see me turn around a 1v2 with a Rogue opening on me (though it did take my CD's). But either way I agree with the pvp changes. It was too easy to get blown up and not even have a chance to recover. Feels better with longer methodical fights with more room for counter play. I'd really like to see RBGs and arenas be added so pvpers have more to do than regular BGs & open world ganking... They should also despawn the open world mobs during the STV event and let us buff while the timer is on.

Don't need or want a damage reduction, just need a health pool adjustment. The big numbers and abilities is fun and people like that. Just double the health pools now and tripple at level 60. People want to see those big fun numbers. The other issue is some classes just need damage tweaks in general such as Spriests, as they're out of control in pvp and their DOTS should out dot a lock, ever.

Its going to be pain in the ass for developers to adjust for MC BWL AQ NAXX tho. If you have triple the HP, they just gonna tickle you forever. What we need is 25-50% more stamina. Not 300% more.

This is a good start. But people will complain because they can't one shot someone as easily or see "big numbers". This is a welcomed change. As well as allowing transfers to PvE. Grieving gets old fast. And it's always the same people doing it. On CB, literally no one is online except a dwarf rogue that likes to camp players leaving Splintertree Post. How is that fun to do for hours on a server with maybe 30 people on the entire server? 😂😂😂

@@SkSeafoot when’s the last time you played SOD? They did a huge ban wave. Perma banned gold sellers and 2 week bans for people who bought. I was one of them and half my guild got a 2 week ban lol. I haven’t seen nearly the bots in phase 3 as on release of SOD and they won’t let new accounts have access to the trade post for the first 30 days. The economy’s good now, you can actually make gold now farming mats. And I’ll definitely be buying the d4 expansion too, not sure why that was brought up..

I am nor agaist dmg reduction i pvp, but its reduced too much imo. Healers are unkillable now. So,reduce dmg ok, but dont reduce it too much.

PvP damage nerf is going to buff hybrid classes (anything with a heal). Why? Damage getting nerfed, but healing isn't. Shamans, Druids, Paladins, Priests, and Mages are going to be nuts. The MM hunter buffs are stupid rn. I was killing any clothie in 2 globals without a cooldown thanks to instant Aimed Shot, Lock and Load rune, and Chimera Shot.

Dude as much as I feel certain classes are outrageously overtuned in pvp, it’s certainly true that warriors are the weakest, virtually defenseless class in pvp at 50 in classic wow. Warriors are the victims of parse culture whining in classic wow. Who knows if Blizzard will ever give you anything for pvp that is truly field-leveling after receiving 5 million + complaints from about how warriors are always the top of the damage chart in raids.

Some of the things that are so obvious on release seem like a surprise to the devs. I'm just going off track record. If healers can heal through all the damage, group pvp could be really prolonged like retail is.
