I think vanilla, as it was, perhaps even without addons as that seem to be what made Hardcore the most “vanilla-feel” experience (from what I’ve gathered), progressing in to new content i.e. some new raids, zones, maybe one or two additions/changes to the talent trees or spells, something to invigorate the different classes, keep it interesting… No cross faction bullshit, no ally shamans or horde pallys, no tauren priests or dwarf warlocks, just a few things here and there. Quest lines in old and/or new zones that lead to new gear-rewards, titles or tabards - keep it simple, in the spirit of vanilla… where things and systems were… “simple”. Then in order to keep older raids relevant, which I think would be very important as that plays in to the whole idea of what vanilla was (going back and forth between old and new zones/content) they could add another difficulty, or events that happen on certain occasions or times during the week where maybe they provide different items, or just things like one more new boss that has a chance to drop a Mount. Literally any reason to go back. Anyway, just some ideas that align with what I would see as “true” classic wow. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Blizzard has become too woke, full of feelings. As a player since 2004, I do not see myself playing wow anymore. They have become to ban happy business, and also mass report ban happy taking out the responsibility that we all pay for to have actual responsible penalties put in place for real wrong doers. It isn't they game I grew up with, it isn't fun like it use to be. They can put out ++++++ of their game and I don't see myself playing anymore.

I am hoping for a classic plus that doesnt turn in to another retail type enviroment and we can take the time and enjoy the game again.

An in-game shop and/or wow token would ruin it for me. A shop with cosmetics would undoubtedly incentivize blizzard to make the coolest looking stuff as paid content and purposefully make lamer items free to encourage us to buy from the shop. Not to mention it ruins that feeling of "oh shit, they EARNED that through skill/grinding" and it becomes "oh.. they just paid money for that"

would't go to SoD tbc. the whole classic+ was to buld on classic. they need a reset. put up to 60 at release. remove incusions. balance and they got a basic for it. build on top of it and not make it useless eatch patch following.

I would love to go through the Dark portal even just into Hellfire peninsula where we could make the helfire dungeons all into one 10man mega dungeon and have Magtheridon as final boss. The 3 towers in Hellfire could be a time scheduled PvP event like Tol Barad that gives you a world buff turn in item.

Off topic, but one thing I would love to see SOD donis make use of those quirky items, like a 34 pound redgill, 37 pound redgill that would eventually be used for fishing achievements later in retail, but in SOD make them an item for a new cooking recipe, or even just make them produce multiple filet of redgill when cooked. Currently, the only thing they can be used for is being held in your off-hand, which is useless. As rare as they are for drops, I do think they would be awesome ingredients for aome of the extremely rare cooking recipes. I'm sure there must be more of these kinds of items that could be used for other recipes. Undamaged Hippogryph Feathers come to mind since they are for a removed quest in game, but are still in the game. Could be a tailoring item.

It's a seasonal realm. I don't at all think they will add tokens or other cosmetics in SoD when they don't even know what they'll do with SoD when it's over. Tiny chance services will be allowed like name changes or server transfers, but I don't even think that will be implemented at this point. I think SoD is over half over unless they try to carry it into TBC, which I kinda doubt tbh. The WoW token couldn't be put into SoD imo... it would highlight how broken the economy is... and I think that since WoW is all one subscription, you'd get people with waaaay too much gold in SoD buying too many tokens and really hurting other versions. I'm kinda over SoD though, so maybe I'm a little pessimistic when it comes to the economy etc... it just seems like it's turned into the opposite of what I thought it would be. It's the uiltimate min/maxxers paradise when I thought it would be a nice slow paced way to enjoy the game, but when the most "efficient" things to do are grind incursions or run 10-man dungeons... I just can't find the fun anymore. Also - I do think they are putting a lot of working into banning botters and gold buyers. I have a friend in Asia who plays off hours and he also farms gold for himself a lot, so he goes where it's efficient. He reports people a lot and he regularly gets in game mail saying his reports were successful in getting someone banned. I also know at least one person in our guild was banned for buying gold... so I think there's more going on there than you think, but I also think it's a massive battle that can't just be solved easily by the probably 5 people they actually have working on SoD.

Sad to say but I'm done with SoD. I went back to cata and every class is just way more engaging. I'm a big pvp guy and the total absence of pvp runes has finally made me sick of the experiment. It really is insane to me how popular pvp is in the game and how little consideration it gets by the devs.

Incursions killed SOD hype so hard everyone got discouraged and felt that their time investment in the game was being taken advantage of...everyone in my guild left even the ones who made 1000 gold from it. friends list is barren no one in org 50 min que times for PVP whoever had the idea for incursions should be fired they didnt test anything..

I don't even play SoD and i know that incursions is a lazy slap on that overwrites any of the old content. SoD failed to do what people wanted, they destroyed the old world rather than enchancing it.

99% of players don’t care at all about other people getting more gold in the first 48 hours or whatever, we literally just hate incursions because they’re boring and a lazy addition.

Becaus lvl 50s are protected by pvp server rules that allows them to grief an event intended for pve blizzard took a while to realize why not make the pve event enclosed such that pvp situations don't occur or maybe why not make a warmode system for those that want to quest with pvp on From what I see the reason incursions are not fast enough is because of pvp and the experience boost is not enough to retain the common wow player

Bringing the wow token to Sod is for sure one of the goals of the dev team. They won’t address botting and then introduce the wow token as a “solution” 😂

imagine if the final raid in SOD was a completely new Hyjal raid with Archimonde, or at least one of the raids, would be cool.
