Did anyone else notice how Jackie kept cutting Claudia off when she went to talk about the Belize trip? To the point where Claud was distracted enough that she started talking about something else (recaps). LET. CLAUDIA. TALK! We want to hear about what’s happening in her life! She lets Jackie talk about her life/redheads. It’s really annoying to watch.

I understand what you’re saying but.. they’re literally sisters. It’s so nice and refreshing to have realistic and honest relationships shown in media. This is what a realistic relationship looks like between some siblings. She’s not undermining her or cutting her off, they’re comfortably and confidently chatting with each other xx

That argument that y'all (especially Jackie) make often about dark and depressing entertainment is so spot on. That's what brought me to the Toast in the first place; I used to spend my free time watching movies (and sometimes tv) but there's so much negativity in those mediums, so I had to find other sources of positive entertainment. It's so disheartening to see our cultural landscape shift so much in a bad direction, but the best we can do is support the positive, uplifting content and refuse to consume the negative stuff.

44:02 I’m pretty sure Damar Hamlin was the one doing the tackling just to clarify for everyone. He’s a safety which is a defensive player so that would make sense?? Which is even weirder
@samanthaconsidine41052 жыл бұрын
I’m regards to Damar- he tackled the player and Damars chest hit the opponents helmet so hard it caused cardiac arrest

@ganjabongmaster42042 жыл бұрын
a chest hitting a helmet doesn’t cause cardiac arrest in a young healthy 24 yr old man… there’s a reason all these young athletes are literally dying suddenly. this has never happened in history but after 2021 it’s a common occurrence … connect the dots :/

It is so exhausting listening to them try to talk about cancel culture constantly while trying to make sure they make the point that they should not have been cancelled but what other people should be cancelled for and what cancellation is and isn’t. Girls, just stop talking about it. How about, everyone has the right to stop supporting anyone for any reason. Getting “canceled” is not a personality trait.

I’m 99% sure that “slut strands” comes from female snowboarders who take the front pieces out of their helmets so they look more feminine on the mountain and they kinda reclaimed the name to be positive rather than derogatory

Thank you for talking about how obsessed our nation is with dark entertainment. I live in Moscow Idaho the town where the 4 horrific murders happened and let me tell you how DISGUSTING the glamorization and obsession of MURDER and blatant ignorance of how these events affect small towns is mind blowing. Real murders are not entertainment. The fact that I know people who are being asked to participate in documentaries is so sad and gross. Good people in my town have been accused falsely because of this obsession with crime (especially on tik tok and in FB groups ) and how intensely it’s been glamorized on TV. So I really appreciate this New Year’s resolution and I WILL be joining you both in this❤

Damar Hamlin suffered from commotio cordis, which is blunt trauma to the chest at a very precise time during the heartbeat cycle that can send someone with no previous heart issues into ventricular fibrillation. It typically takes about 6 seconds to go into V-fib after the hit to the chest, which explains why he got up for a few seconds before he collapsed. Very rare but so sad❤️ as a die hard bills fan I can’t stop thinking about him and his family along with football fans across the country!!

Similar thing happened during the euro last year- a player on Denmark’s team went into cardiac arrest and collapsed on field and the coverage was really bothersome because the players had to be the ones to stand in the cameras way and give the man privacy. And then they kept the game going 🥶🥶

So excited to have you girlies back for another year of the toast!! About the Balenciaga thing--the impact this scandal is not just in the US, it is truly a global scandal. I just got back from vacation in Europe and walking through Harrod's in London and the biggest shopping streets in Paris, the Chanel, LV, Hermes, YSL, etc. stores had lines and lines of people outside of them. And when I say not a SOUL was in the Balenciaga stores, I am not over exaggerating at all. I can't imagine they will be able to keep paying the insane rents in these huge cities if this keeps up.

I don't think thr NFL ever expected for the players to come back on the field to play. I think there were a lot of other things going on that took president to formally suspending the game.
@erinstorm67162 жыл бұрын
Actually they told the players they had 5 minutes to reset and start again and it was the players and coaches who refused to go back on the field. The NFL absolutely expected them to start playing again
