@John Smith BO3 and Cold War zombies are great in their own ways, the maps in Cold War are more enjoyable to get to high rounds on, I couldn't even bother to get to round 30 in BO3 on any map, even the coolest Custom Zombies maps. BOCW is the definition of Quality over quantity, BO3 had some banger maps for sure but without custom maps and zombies chronicles I'd pick CW for certain reasons (being able to finally jump over railings is such a good addition to the game). Cold War is made to go high rounds 40+ meanwhile BO3 is focused on 30- rounds due to lack of things to do, f.x. You hit the mystery box, get lucky (might take a few spins), pack-a-punch each weapon once and get 4 perks. Then it's just straight up boring unless you go for an EE. In Cold War high rounds are actually enjoyable due to the amount of perks you can get, better movement (being able to jump over railings and windows f.x.), 3x Pack-A-Punch, buy armor, level up gun rarity, use scorestreaks with scraps (and buy equippment), you also have the ability to get a Dark Aether camo, leveling system to upgrade perks - weapons - ability etc, killing different mini bosses, doing trials to get Legendary stuff and get calling cards for doing Main Quests and certain challenges and being able to exfil for bonus XP (which is imo a lot of fun). Which sounds better? def Cold War. The game just lacks Treyarc maps and custom maps and that is why it isn't as loved as bo3.

As someone who hasn't played much throughout this games lifecycle, I can happily say it's one of my favorite maps. Really cool WW, neat EEs, fucking chaotic gameplay on the high rounds. Take what I say with a grain of salt because I know it isn't everyones cup of tea but man, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a blast playing it.

Cold war zombies have been really good because they try something new open world zombies experience with outbreak which it so different from Rounds base maps and also push Dark Aether storyline much further between rounds base maps and also I believe cold war had more content then past treyarch games
