Overall, I’d say storywise Cold War was a solid game. Brought back our original boys Mason, Woods, and Hudson, gave us great new characters like Bell, Adler, Sims, Park, Lazar, stitch, felt like a classic great cod story

For a game made partly during covid, with cut development time and having to cut Blackout 2 with most of the Ural Mountains, they knocked it out of the park I say, least for campaign and zombies. Multiplayer didn't do it for me and I feel like zombies could have gotten more content and a better Outbreak mode, but otherwise I'm pretty happy for this to have been my "covid game". Hope Treyarch get a proper, uninterrupted dev cycle next time so they have the chance to do even better!

I was saying how their development time was interrupted because they were developing an entire Blackout 2.0 map in the Ural Mountains, but they had to cut it. Some remnants can be found in Fireteam and Outbreak, but there are leaks that show there was meant to be a lot more in the Blackout mode. The timeline moved fast and the Warzone events didn’t help improve the story in my opinion because I always seemed to ask questions. What? The campaign was just a BO rip off. They've overdone the brain washing thing. It worked in BO because it was unexpected. This game with its characters went so over the top that made everyone unrelatable. Look at BO characters, Stainer, Krevchenko, Resnov, Woods, Mason, Hudson... They were all badass soldiers, believable. Know look at Stich and the rest of bad guys. They look sooooo cartoony, this COD was trash, and I hate it even more because I love the black ops series

I liked the campaign and into expect a sequel to this to fill in the gap from here til Black Ops 2. Or if we are gonna rewrite Black Ops 2 story that would be interesting too.

Awesome scene, I'm so glad the story kept going throughout multiplayer in a deeper way than we've ever seen before. I hope they keep this direction of storytelling and focus beyond just the campaign, do even deeper and more interesting things for future titles. Even just form it's campaign, CW has one of the most interesting stories in the series; they go beyond just fanservice and callbacks, Raven wrote an exciting and worthwhile continuation. Also Bell's Theme music gets me every time it's suchhh an amazing track! I wasn't sure what Treyarch would do next, but this ending implies to me that we will be seeing a "Black Ops" game once again when it's their turn to make a full game, my hope is...something in line with Black Ops 2 on the timeline, maybe even jumping between past and future like BO2 did in it's storyline, now that Warzone has opened the door to combining eras of technology, I hope we see much more of that down the road. 😀

Hate on Cold War all you want, but you have to admit the story of this game was pretty solid. Amazing cast of characters both new and old, cool storyline. Multiplayer and Zombies could've been better yeah, but it's still miles higher than Vanguard. (Vanguard's story is probably the only good thing about the game honestly. I'm only gonna play it consistently since Snoop Dogg is coming soon.)

looks like black ops storyline has been completed,all the gap will be filled in Modern Warfare Reboot storyline. if you curious what's happen after 1984,woods got a mission somewhere in cuba where he dealt with menendez's father. it is told in ps vita black ops declassified(somehow it's canon though)
