In this next piece, choreographed and performed by our guest artist, Mitali Mukherjee Bapat, we will see Kathak - a North Indian classical dance form being performed. You will experience a unique technical piece called ‘Tarana’. The speciality of Tarana is that the words used in its composition have no meaning but have clear signs of influence of Persian and Central Asian languages. You will see fast and intricate footwork performed in sync with excellent recitals of Tabla and Sitar.
