I really like it when you digress. It makes you very sympathetic and I really enjoy listening to you! Very interesting topic. I haven't done this yet, but I've noticed that certain colours just don't suit me at all. However, if I do end up buying them, a scarf or a suitable lipstick can compensate a lot.

Thank you so much! That means a lot to me😌 Agree, it’s such an interesting topic and I feel like I only scratched the surface with the consultation that I booked. Definitely need to do a little more research :)

Interesting to see your experience! I did all of mine online with some resources to help guide me through and a community Facebook group for feedback from others - I liked it. I found analysing other people’s profiles helped me understand the theory better and apply it to myself. I am a bright winter - but now I have lightened my hair somewhat it changes (broadens the colours) I can use. I can now use warmer colours as I have light eyes, warm skin and warm hair (rather than cool hair). Mine also included things like the contrast between your features (brown hair eyes and medium skin is very analogous and low contrast - light eyes dark hair pink lips is high contrast) this gives clues as to how deep the colours you should wear are - higher the contrast more deep and rich the colours you can get away with and vice versa .

@@DaylesAddiction This whole color theory concept is so fascinating to me. Thank you for sharing, Dayle💜 To be fair, there is only so much you are able to squeeze into a 2ish hour session. I think I got a good grasp of what to look for but I appreciate I may have to dig a little deeper. Fashion homework if you will :)

Really interesting video - I'd never given it a thought whether particular colours suit me or not, I go for what colours I like - but your video has made me think more about the colours I wear, do they suit me or not. I could see the difference it made to you, especially with the blue top and beige jacket and again with the pinks the lady had against you. It's all fascinating stuff, not sure I'd remember 9 seasons of colours though! 😍🌈☔

It’s really fascinating and I feel like I only scratched the surface with the consultation. To be fair though, most of us are subconsciously drawn to colors that look good on us. But it was helpful to have a professional assess my colors :)

I love hearing about these experiences! I think jewelry is flexible. Maybe not a full gold outfit head to toe 😅but a little jewelry is fine. Maybe that pale yellow she included in your pallet works like pale gold jewelry. You look like a soft summer to me, and that overlaps well with the colors she gave you 😊

Thank you Meghan :) Yeah, I will probably stick with gold and rose gold when it comes to jewelry. Staying clear of yellow gold tops and outerwear shouldn’t be too much of a struggle😅 Soft summer sounds about right. I wish she had worked on that 12 category system so I have clear label to what my color palette is but hey ho.

I haven’t done a color analysis but I have been watching Dayle from Dayle’s Addiction and Jessie from Jessie’s Style who both have done it. They talked about their experiences and what they learned. It sounds really fascinating and I have enjoyed watching this video, Lesley. I don’t think that you ramble at all.

Thank you to much Patty❤️ Yess, I think it’s absolutely fascinating. Dayle having had such great success with her color analysis was also one of the reasons I eventually gave in and booked the consultation. I think having a professional provide an expert assessment was super helpful. Now I just need to implement what I learned😁

I have not done a course yet but I have done tons of tests and watched lots of videos. So I am not an expert but I find it very interesting. These colours definitely suit you! I also like when you are wearing neutrals like taupe, more than high contrast like black and white together. And the dark pink and berry is also beautiful on you. The blue tones in your palette seemed a bit too vibrant to me, maybe more muted blues in the aqua spectrum will suit you even better.

Thank you so much for sharing your take on my color palette :) This whole world of color theory is super fascinating and I’m definitely planning to learn more about it. Are there any specific resources you have used and would recommend?

@@LesleyAdina Hi! I‘ve been watching Colour Analysis Studio on KZbin a lot and I used the app Dressika. But most interesting was when I learned about the universal colours which suit almost everyone, there‘s also several videos on that topic. 😘

Perfect, thank you :) I‘ll make sure to look into that!

The color season

Sometimes I think we should wear what colors we LIKE, instead of what suits our features. I mean, we're the ones looking at the fabric (we can't see ourselves! lol!)
@LesleyAdina2 ай бұрын
Haha, very true😅 At the end of the day, if we love a piece of clothing or a specific color, that shouldn’t deter us from wearing it, regardless of whether it fits our colors. But I feel like the chances of me feeling good in an outfit are way higher when I’m wearing colors that suit me😇

Hi ! I was a little bit curious about « the color analysis thing » and although I still don’t know my season precisely, I have found a very didactic and fun YT chanel : Colour Analysis Studio, the two lovely ladies are austalian/italian and show all the process of their consultations 😉 It might help you narrow down your real season now that you have the bases ☺️

Thank you so much! I will make sure to look into their channel :) I definitely need a little help narrowing down my colors.
