Seasons mod changed the game. Without it you are just doing some repetitive actions, but with this thing you actually have to think about what you are doing. I think it has a bigger simulation value than most of the features in the base game.

I like that they threw in uncertainty and having things take their time but I don’t like that they got rid of requirement for tethering. In real life hay typically only drys the top layer and requires fluffing and flipping to dry completely. We normally cut, wait a day or two, tether, wait another day, then rake and bale. We also typically cut when it’s still fairly wet, letting it get to grown will make it seed and lose most of its nutrients.

Anyone finding that there is no empty function for the snow blower and when you buy the snow plough and connect up to it, it crashes the game?

For the snowblower to work properly, and it kind of sucks, you have to own the land which you want to blow or dump snow on to. What happens in not a lot of map give you the possibility to buy the map like Lone Oak and Greenwich allow you, therefore you can a bit limited on blowing driveways and stuff if that's what you want to do.

Do you know any snowblower that has an tipper function? That is not how the equipment works. The blower will empty if you point the pipe towards land you own and enable unload here function and its not "full" of snow already. It will continue to do so automatically if you drive forward. The Hauer plow and spreader were updated to correct the crashes due to particles. Unfortunately, this is what happens when people rush to download mods that have NOT been 100% fully tested with Seasons, even if correctly masked.

PRO TIP. Weather problems can be completely avoided.The most efficient and effective way on Seasons or the base game (although a bit unrealistic) to make hay (or silage for the matter) remains as follows. BTW, this process can let you easily make over 1 MILLION LITERS of hay very quickly, dependent on conditions. Mow and collect the wet grass with a forage harvester using a high capacity semi-trailer and proper dolley. Deposit the cut grass as loose fill in silos. Remove, layout in a straight heavy max line, ted, and let dry when time, weather permit, and/or when YOU need it. This stops the chance of losing crops due to poor/ changing weather, bale rot issues, moisture level concerns in the short term, it simplifies harvesting, and completely eliminates waste or lost grass If you need bales, windrow, bale, and stack after drying. If you are skilled you dont even need to windrow, and can even dump and ted grass to hay simultaneously with correct equipment.The only caveat is realism. Real farmers cannot store absurdly large amounts of new wet grass due to mildew problems or potential to start fermentation due to compression.

What I do is apply it before I plant the seed (when the field is cultivated) and then just after i seed or if the planter has a fertiliser option. I know it's not realistic but it's the easiest way to do it

Plow, lime, fertilize(liquid or solid), plant, pesticide (if weeds are on), fertilize(opposite of first application, if 1st was liquid, use solid, etc) harvest, rinse repeat.

@@johnwall5278 yes i'm on console and I still have pallet transporting contracts Got 2 now 0ne is asking me to transport items from Mushroom Greenhouse to Transport Company the other is asking me to transport items from the Lemon Farm to the Airport. So if you don't have transport contracts then you either A have bad luck and none has appeared yet or B have a map problem.

fermenting of that bale will take 24 hours coz you're on 3 day seasons, it actually takes 1 seasonal transition to ferment, just like silage in a pit, so if you're on 9 day seasons it will take 3 days for bale to ferment....

He mentioned in his first seasons video this info: You put the pump near the water trough (go to the seasons animals menu and it’ll say water pump in brackets) and then it prevents your water from ever running out. It doesn’t actually fill, it’s a safety net.

It does not fill up or top off your water, it just assures that you have water and that you are not bone dry. It's a back up to make sure your animals have water, not a replacement for filling up your water.

Need to wait for a female animal to get pregnant and their gestation period to complete before the new animal arrives. Cows have a 9 month gestation period. I forgot what it is for pigs or sheep.

In this game their is no haylage or baleage, only silage. I do not think seasons will allow you to wrap a hay bale. Like straw it does not have enough moisture content to ferment into silage.

See Liam Maher's comment. It depends on your setting for number of days in a season. It will not turn to silage until 1 seasonal transition (early to mid, mid to late, etc.). So if playing on 3 day seasons, it's 1 day or 24 hours per seasonal transition. If playing on 6 day seasons it could take up to 2 days until that seasonal transition turns it into hay. Etc. The more days per season, the longer it can take to ferment. Of course, if you wait until the last day of a seasonal phase, the next day it will be silage because of the seasonal transition.

Technically by you mowing the grass in the rain is somthing you wouldn't do In real life, it simply won't cut good, tear up the ground and clogging up the mowers. I know it's a game but seasons is meant to be some what realistic.

There are more places than the US that do not ted grass. Travel abroad. Some farmers use drying silos after prep in a drum rotator. Large scale farming.

That it does I was more or less taking about Vermont if a farmer is baling its getting tended but some farmers and we're all dairy farmers up here dont bale it they mow it and windrow it which we call it raking and pick it up with a forage harvester and put it into a bunk for baling the bales only way 60 pounds the most
