I love seeing the differences between the English version and the other version. I actually would prefer the yellow cover, but I got the blue one, which isn't bad....really.

I would have liked the lemon cover too...something different for the bookshelf but I'll live with the blue! It's nice that we have a choice! Happy coloring x

Great comparison of the two editions of the book! The lemon yellow is pretty but I love Teal .... so I'm very happy with the color change. Also though I try to be tidy when I color ..hahaha wow I couldn't even lie for dramatic effect! I'm not tidy when I color. And a lemon yellow cover might as well be a bulls eye for every stray pencil shaving and paintbrush drip. And lemon yellow IS harder to keep clean then teal. At least it is if the colors behave the same way on covers as they do on dresses. I mean it never failed! I Always got something on a lemon yellow dress! I mean a just washed car and the One place my skirt would touch it had been splashed in a puddle! And it hasn't rained in a week! But back to the book ..... I do that a lot 😄 But anyway I have to say the English publishers have done a very good job so far! Thanks for taking the time to do these comparisons for us! P.S. Did You See? The Mardel Rubio books are an enclosed spiral bound!! Yeah I had no idea what that meant but the important thing is You Can't SEE the Spiral binding while it's sitting on the bookcase!!!! 😃 Now if you turn it over you can see it. But from the front but MOST importantly while it's on in the bookcase it looks Beautiful!

The lemon may be a bullseye but could always go old school and cover it with plastic wrap! I can't say I ever wear lemon ...I did have a lemon sundress when I was about 5 but I had an amazing tan from playing outside then so I was as brown as a nut and the lemon looked good (to a 5 yo lol). Since then though ....I've never worn it, just doesn't suit my coloring but in a book I would like to see more lemon on the covers just to make things a bit more different around here! White is always the devil for me. It doesn't matter how hard I try, I will spill something on a white shirt within minutes and in a prominent area :( Gibbs Smith do a great job with the books but they must use a lighter material on the cover to account for the weight difference between them. I hope your computer is still working okay! I didn't notice that it was "enclosed" only spiral bound. Wow! That must have added to the cost but really useful for the bookcase! Great idea for it! Oh that's probably it! Different cover material. Yep I bet your right and that's the weight difference because everything is the same including paper quality. Oh I know about white shirts! And you know my love of Coffee ☕ ... Yep! Haha And it lands right on the chest! Never fails! Sadly my computer is no longer with me. But I decided to get a tablet instead of rushing into a computer I don't want. It's pretty good. I'm starting to get the hang of it .. Kinda of but I can listen to Books on tape .. But there not on tape .. I don't know it's Audible and that's been a lot of fun. But I'm going to save up and wait and get the computer I want. Because right now I'm really NOT liking Windows 10. But so far the tablet isn't to bad. Except for typing that sucks. But I'll live. Lol

Hi Lea. Thanks for the review. I have read that the paper quality in Seasons UK version is not quite the same as it is very soft and not suitable for colour pencils, also...I have read That buying the book from Amazon the paper is quite bad as well. Could you get into this details and let us know about it? You are the coloring queen and I would love to hear your personal opinion. Thanks in advance xx

I purchased my book from Amazon which is the same or very similar to the Swedish edition that I purchased. Hello Lea... I know this might be an old topic but just yesterday I received my Seasons and this is my very first purchase of Hanna Karlzon's book (I know I'm late lol) but I just noticed the papers in my book has some ghosting on the pages. Is that normal? Or is it that I just received another bad paper printing version just like Daydreams and Summer Nights?

Hi, I haven't heard of this printing issue before. You should email the publishers, their details are inside the book, to discuss it with them. The previous issues were mainly related to a batch of paper rather than printing. Happy coloring x

@@coloringqueen Exactly. I did my research first before buying Hanna's book and Seasons seems like free from this paper issue so that's why I bought this one instead. I did try coloring the little bee next to the name plate page and I can see the black outline ink become slightly grey-ish and coloring with Prismacolors feels not so smooth either. I did try email them yesterday but unfortunately Cortney (as everyone recommended) not available atm until Jan 1. I'll just emailed other contact Cortney provided in her auto reply email name Sarah and also to their customer service just to be sure. The book is quite pricey in my country and it's a bit frustrating that I got bad quality paper from it. The book is stunning. Hopefully I'll get response from them soon.

They are "usually" really well made so it seems like you got a bad one :( . The staff at Gibbs Smith have been excellent previously dealing with problems with the books. If you ordered from AZ or another online store..you may find it quicker to email them with details of the problem for a replacement.

@@coloringqueen I bought the book from online bookstore Open Trolley. I'm not sure if they can give me a proper replacement since I'm sure they probably have only this bad printing in their stocks anyway. Maybe I'll just wait for Gibbs Smith or even Cortney herself to give feedback on this issue. At least I can still use fineliners without bleed through. Not sure if this paper can stand watercolors though. Anyway, thanks for your replies, Lea and Merry Christmas

I always try and buy both the original edition and the English or Dutch edition of these luxury art books if I can afford it. I color in the English one (as it is easier and cheaper to obtain for me) and treasure the original. Maybe you could follow suit and have one as an art book and one to color. They are lovely so whatever you decide I'm sure you'll enjoy them for years to come. Happy coloring x
