Seasons of the Tiwi - Tiwi College

Seasons of the Tiwi was written by Yello from B2M with some of the staff from Tiwi College and recorded onsite at Pika. The song is a combination of ideas and talks about places from all over the Tiwi Islands as well as the seasons of the Tiwi language and knowledge systems. The video was filmed at Tiwi College, Pirlangimpi, in Warrumiyanga and and on the beach at Purnalli. The whole school embraced the song and got right behind the video which is evident in the faces on screen. We were also able to capture some of the stunning scenery of the Tiwis and some of the proud and strong and living cultural practices being celebrated across the Islands. Red Dust was privileged to work with the senior class at Tiwi College, many of whom graduated on the final night of the program and wishes the senior students a strong and fulfilling future ahead. Again a massive thankyou to Tammy, Tippa and all of the Tiwi College staff and students with a big shout to Yello.
