@lapamful8 жыл бұрын
Another way to improve ride quality is to get AWD. The extra weight eases the ride and stops the car from bouncing around due to less weight of the 2WD version. It worsens fuel economy but on the other hand improves handling in all weather conditions.

I have ordered (in France) an Ateca (20/12/2016) and I'm still waiting (01/08/2017). The internet forums (UK, France and others) have, highlighted this problem since the car was first available (or not!) A great car but pin your dealer down to a delivery date and then expect it to change. SEAT needs to get a grip.

Back seat charging too. My laguna had on in the boot, and I had a plug converter plugged in and a power strip plugged into it, so the kids could all charge there phones/tablet, and my laptop, when we traveled through Europe. I own a gtc now, and have zero 12v sockets in the rear or boot, and we missed them in the summer traveling through Spain. So had to buy a hand full of usb power banks. Which was actually turned out a great way to do it.

I do about 17k kilometers (I live in Germany), but that was with seat ibiza 1.4tsi.. With new car I plann a bit more :) So the km/price is not a big thing, I am a little scared of diesel.. (noise, reliability, etc)

@@patriciosoirefman838 I sold it after a year and a half because it was a 5 seater and we wanted a 7 seater. Good thing is that I sold it at a same price as I bought it for, I still miss that car tbh but I now have the next best Seat Terraco, its a 7 seater SUV, it has the same internal dashboard with more extras & add-on features than VW Allspace had to offer. Despite Seat being the part of same VW Group as VW cars which means they are almost same underneath the skin but VW's quality and post sales service is better than Seat's but of course VW is a bit pricey. If you are confused between Seat & VW in specific then I suggest you book a test drive and compare like-forlike add-ons and features.

I have a group test coming in the next few weeks. It's a really tough decision. You see the Ateca does all you really need. The stupid reference to EU money being used to resurface roads in Spain is both completely untrue and really disgusting. Spain does not get any money from the EU anymore, they have been net contributors for a number of years now, while we in the UK (until Brexit actually happens) still get much, much more from the EU than Spain. We keep our people employed with that money doing some sort of thing as well, I guess Matt? The fact is that they use much better materials to build their roads, their companies are way better than ours in that regard (we have many of them now in the UK working in the Crossrail project and many other construction and energy projects) and have been way before entering the EU. Not to mention their railway system, their airports, ports, hospitals and health system in general ... way better than ours. And don't get me started comparing cuisines, or good taste dressing, behaving, speaking... I like your videos Matt, but that comment was really stupid and completely out of line. We could learn a lot from the Spaniards. A lot.

It is no surprise they voted BREXIT when you have that level of ignorance spouted by those who are supposed to know better. Spain has great roads because they have high standards and manage public and private funding in that area very well. Their railways are also the envy of the world for the same reason. Britain has terrible roads and railways that are third world...and the EU had nothing at all to do with it. You will see when you finally leave.

@infiltr80r8 жыл бұрын
Mario Losberg Not from what I've seen. As cars get more complicated and service costs rise, warranty matters more and more. When a 3 year old Mercedes fails and the repair costs are a quarter of the car value, you'll agree.
@jorgecano59888 жыл бұрын
I believe you are highly mistaken and you have no idea of servicing cars. Mercedes parts are usually cheaper than most korean/japanese car brands, except Nissan. The 7 year warranty is a myth as it only covers certain parts of the car (non-breakable ones), whilst the engine/injection are 2 to 5 years in cars. I've paid the extended 5 years warranty on my car and they charged me about 1K for that. Nobody will give you 7 years on a diesel/petrol engine as you can smoke it out with some 300k kms and claim repairing. Normally, cars fails past the 200 kms range, german cars - 300 kms, except BMW, they fail before because of aggressive driving.

This car/suv has no independent rear suspension. Instead it has a torsion beam which gives it the suspension characteristics of a tractor going over a speed ramp. If you want to launch yourself into outerspace everytime you go over a bump than this is the car for you, if not keep away from this and anything with torsion beam rear suspension. Just saying.
