Seat Toledo 1L Coming-/Leaving Home Feature at night

Just a feature I implemented with my car, a '99 Seat Toledo 1L. Using the remote control, I can active the fog lights, which will then stay on for about a minute and then turn off slowly. To activate the feature, I simply hold down either the lock or unlock key on the remote control until the lights go on. This video shows the feature at night, although the sloppy camera of my phone cannot really convey how far the fog lights range. There were some houses about 15m away, which were still well illuminated, so the feature will serve its function well.

This feature isn't factory installed. I retrofitted it using some electronic controls I developed and built myself. I am putting together all the tech specs so anyone with a few basic soldering skills can duplicate what I did. I'll post the link here once I'm done.

Well, I just recently tried wiring the feature to the rear lights (which normally come up when you switch to reverse gear). Now, when the car is parked with the gear in reverse, the ignition of the car goes on every time I activate the coming/leaving home feature. I'm working on a fix for this problem and also on a complete redesign of the electronics using much fewer parts. I'll keep you guys posted on this one.
