Hello friends,
I'm back :) I know it's been a while and our little community here. I promise I'll be posting more regularly! I have an honest chit chat moment in this vlog to explain why I've been gone.
So here is an official launch of a new series~ I've mentioned before I want to vlog more of my life outside of my professional career so here it is! Honestly, I think this was a lot harder to edit than my work vlogs. I hope you enjoy 🫶

I recommend any Murakami book! Specifically 1Q84, Dance Dance Dance and Kafka on the Shore. Murakami's genre usually touches upon surrealism and magical realism in a sense where the protagonist is in the real world but some uncanny/weird circumstances changes perspective. Lots of great character development, and some books even have you questioning your current reality and existentialism

hi girl i really hope you get to read this comment. i decided to say something after hearing your honest chitchat. so i typed in 'vlog wfh' today and watched through about 5 different vloggers today, after i watched their entire video i just shut it down caz it doesnt attract me enought to want to explore or subscription then there came yours, and your the only one that i went to homepage to and clicked on a second video and started thinking of a subscription. i am not too sure what attract me, could be the way you talk, which is very gentle and quiet, could be just the vibe, which is quite serene and slow (sorry i know you have a hectic work schedule haha, but you know what i'm referring to) so yeah you're doing a great job Jenn. and i guess it's the algorithm thats playing the trick? caz i compared yours to someone who has 1.5m subscribers, i dont see hers doing much better? anyway, dont double yourself. sometimes number of subscribers is not reflecting your content quality, i assure you!!!

I absolutely love novels by Natsume Soseki, he has calm vibes and his characters are always the best observers sociologically. I would recommend Kokoro, I am a cat, Sanshiro by him. I also like Haruki Murakami in modern Japanese literature but since he has a very questionable style it might not be some of the people's cup of tea. I would recommend Kafka on the Shore if you'd like to give it a try! Have a nice day and please don't ever feel insecure about these stuff! I know it's easy to say from the outside but we know you're always trying and doing your best :) we love you and we appreciate your effort in every aspect

If you are open to non-fictional books, I would recommend Godel, Escher and Bach; and The Cathedral and the Bazaar. These books changed my mind and I believe every software engineer should read those. They are awesome!
