I agree with the comments below. There is no right and wrong reaction in such a situation, yours was genuine you and thats everything that is important. Imagine how June was feeling as his plans just didn't work out and how awkward he must have thought the situation is. I think i know exactly how you feel about being "blank" even though you're very happy. It confuses other people and it annoys us that why are we so freaking awkward lol but i don't think it's because we want to suppress it but it's just how our mind works. First, CONGRATS!! Thank you for sharing this moment with us. It's interesting to see someone anticipate their partner proposing to them.. multiple times. I've been with my boyfriend for 6 years now and we take so many trips and just do so many things together that I don't think I'd ever be able to anticipate such a thing.. Of course we've been together long enough to discuss marriage, kids and all that jazz. The only thing Esther left out is whether they've had conversations about marriage and if that's why she thought he was going to propose.. or if this was just completely thought by her as she's looking forward to marriage. Just so different and again, interesting to see how different couples have different dynamics!
