Ours aid cars Take the Medical calls for the Engine Co & Ladder Co for some part of the City

In Seattle (and most cities in Washington, for that matter), Aid Units are operated by fire departments and ambulances are operated by private companies. Aid units are only supposed to transport patients if the case is too urgent to wait for an ambulance. In less urgent cases, the patient will be transported by the ambulance, freeing the Aid unit to respond to other 9-1-1 calls. This multifaceted plan is what keeps average response times down to four minutes or less, and is part of the reason Seattle has been called "the best place to have a heart attack."

Whats diff between aide n medic?
@erikjohnson72213 жыл бұрын
Aid units are staffed by 2 Firefighter/EMTs providing basic care whereas Medic units are staffed by 2 Firefighter/Paramedics who can provide advanced life support care.

Great footage - you really went on a few treks! Was there some kind of open house happening at Station 10? Looked like more people than usual standing in the driveway 😀

It did seem like a lot of people, though I’m not sure what was going on. Thanks!:-)
