Very cool, why does there mexics units say a4 on the doors when they are medic 1

Medic one is it’s own program used by multiples departments in the state. A4 is obviously its own aid unit different then a medic unit ran by this department.

That's weird, what are they dispatched as on a call??? Medic 1 or a4...

@@garykcs5532 they are dispatched as A4 and serve primarily as a triage unit. They respond to a variety of calls usually assess the patient and then call AMR or if it’s serious enough they’ll call an official SFD medic to the scene if they weren’t dispatched with one. Usually the aid units never transport so they can go back into service relatively quickly.
