I didnt know you can mount an FX3 top handle onto an A7 camera. That is some wildly dangerous information to my bank account lol

There are a handful of cameras that are compatible! A7SIII, A7IV, A1, A7RIV and possibly the A7RV. You need a compatible Smallrig cage, and the adapter plate: Smallrig MD4019 I'm using the Smallrig 3639 Half Cage for my A7SIII. That way you can lock the handle onto the cage similarly to an FX3/FX30 and it's secure! 4CH 24bit audio, CH1 and CH2 are the XLRs, and CH3 is the stereo jack that I use with the tentacle sync timecode box. Check the FB marketplace for handles, there are a lot for sale with good prices!

@@DavidMonostori thank you for this valuable info! I have the A7SIII and A7IV with smallrig cages and use the tentacle sync time system but I never liked using the y splitter cable to include an on camera shotgun mic. This just opens so much more capabilities to better and professional sound shotgun mics. I will put this into my "things to get" list for myself lol
