I think you would have loved Storyville coffee. Not a lot of tourists know about it but it's hidden in the upstairs level of the Pike Place Market above the flower shop. The cafe is so cozy, staff are so friendly, and my go to order is always a vanilla latte with a breakfast sandwich with pesto 😋

I remember ( many years ago), taking a last minute road trip to Seattle (from Vanc). City was packed- wound up @ The Four Seasons, where MicroSoft having a general meeting... walked up to the check in, and stated we were with M/soft, and would like our room. They fumbled about (obviously- as neither of us worked for them)... and they wound up giving us a suite. I asked the bellboy if Bill was here yet... and he didn't know. Anyways.. when we checked out.. bill went directly to M/soft. Said thanks... and left. I've been worried about karma- ever since. :)))

Thanks for sharing your south of the border trip to Seattle. Lucky you had good weather. You do have a coffee fetish. You have a wide range of types of foods you’ll consume from a Tim Horten’s to upmarket sushi. You really didn’t do a lot of touristy things except for the Pike Place Market. Otherwise you’re just living like a local enjoying whatever Seattle has to offer. Stay well. 👍🙏😎

I was in Seattle 20 years ago and flew up there with some friends to actually go on up to Vancouver BC but we were driving in downtown Seattle and counted 7 starbucks in two blocks - kid you not. We also stopped off in Capitol Hill which is their gay district. We actually went up to Vancouver to plan in a gay / gay friendly hockey tournament. Both cities were very very nice and the drive between both cities was also very nice. The one part of the trip I will never forget was crossing over into Canada and the border control guy asked me if we had any weapons with us. I was thinking, well yea, our hockey stick - LOL. My friends got really anxious and I quickly told the border control guy - no, we don't have any weapons with us - LOL.
