CityStream: Kenmore Air: Flying High at 75!

If you spend any time around Lake Union, you've likely spotted a seaplane or two soaring off to distant locations. Those planes are part of the Kenmore Air fleet, the nation's largest seaplane company, which recently celebrated 75 years in business! Most people recognize Kenmore Air as a charter service whisking passengers to the San Juan Islands, Alaska, or Canada. But early on, the company toted torpedoes for the U.S. Navy and made dangerous flights re-supplying scientists working on glaciers. Jenny Cunningham has more on the remarkable story of Kenmore Air.
