This thing really inspires me. I understand they are hard to come by. I wish someone would recreate it.

I grew up in the 60s in Europe. The end of WW2 and its serious impacts were very present. The corporate structures had not really changed compared to the 30s/40s/50s. But a new generation grew up with lots of questions about the past and an enormous hunger for future, a new future, with new ideas, new agreements and a lot of dreams. Building a better future was a leading subject of that time. Using technology for building a better, safer world and the courage to use and test it were undisputed. Look at Star Treck TOS (Enterprise) or other TV series of this time and feel this spirit. Putting a man on the moon within 8 years describes this spirit perfectly. It was a time of hope, change and courage. Nothing seemed impossible. When I look at the current young generation I really feel sad. They are facing a world discussing negative, dangerous, mostly threatening subjects, a world destroying its climate, societies breaking in parts, isolation and respectless me-against-all mentalities, aggression everywhere. The future looks dark in their eyes - and they are right. The Space needle represents the hope and the faith to make things better than our ancestors. You picked the right symbol for your thoughts. Peace
