Fueru Wakame package says nothing about cooking. My wife is half Japanese and we've used this recipe many times. Never been sick or unable to digest this. Mother in Law Lumiko told me it doesn't need to be cooked. Nice recipe Kitchen Cauldron

Is this like the seaweed salad that they have at Poke Bowl places?

👍Make sure the Wakame is cooked but I could eat that whole bowlful myself. I love it. 💞

Can’t possibly mean 2.5 cups of dried wakame. 2-1/2 cups after soaking is more likely.

@@mgsteinlen Yeah, this would definitely end up in a portion for a huge family... 😄

Hello, it looks very delicious but I'm wondering, how much of this salad you can consume daily in order not to overdose of iodine intake? :)
@kimphan35513 жыл бұрын
Is the water hot or room temperature?
@conscience-commenter Жыл бұрын
The wakame is salty on it's own . The Bragg liquid aminos contain 320 milligrams salt per teaspoon. Not recommended for high blood pressure .

Hi! Do you think I can substitute rice vinegar with ACV or coconut vinegar?
@brokenbulbs5 жыл бұрын
I would imagine you could. Taste it, and if it is to your liking, go for it!

I was wondering how to make it with fresh seaweed, the plant being harvested directly from the sea and have it lived without salt.
@dadaebiko83322 жыл бұрын
Don't we have to blanch the wakame for a while?

No just soaking in water is good enough

Wakame needs to be cooked to be digested. I have cooked with wakame for many years. Depending where your wakame is grown, some can very tough. I have made salads with wakame and always cook it first.
