There are visitors here, from other places in the cosmos. They've been coming for a very long time. There are clues left in some of the great landmarks and pyramids around the world. Before recorded history as we know it, they interacted with human beings. That information has been lost and/or hidden. And, I also believe that the visitors are aware that at this current point, most of humanity isn't ready to know. So much fear has been instilled in people's minds. Governments at high levels know. The spheres with flashing lights that are being seen are not drones. They are not man-made. They are also not a threat. I have a number of friends who have seen crafts, both here in the States as well as in Australia and in South Africa. Even my parents saw one many years before I was born. They never told anyone out of fear of ridicule. They told me after I had gone to university, after I had brought up the subject. I always believed. lol... my mother still was a skeptic, even after clearly watching a saucer-shaped object hover over a cloud in the sky.

The green lights in the sea, that were at the start of this episode, looked like an effect I've seen in the English channel where shoals of fish swim through phosphorescence. It's spectacular... like a marine version of the Northern lights. One of the most magical night sails I've ever experienced.

Keep it up !! BTW what is the name of the soundtrack you used in the video sequence with the ocean sunset and the phosphorous lights in the water at 2:29? I had similar colors while sailing in the Med. But more in the style of long stripes of light from the rudders and keel.

Hey folks, two questions you might be able to tell: - Some sailors wear a thingy on their upper arm. Is this capturing health signals or is this rather a rescue device? - How is communication controlled by the race HQ? If I'm not mistaken sailors are not allowed to receive any routing support or other support except tech advice. With full internet access though it would be pretty easy to establish a channel with routing experts on land. Is this the end only a gentlemen agreement?

Hi Flo, great coverage, thank you so much for that 🤩 I have a quick question: On my 34 foot boat, whenever I need to reef the mainsail or change the headsail, I always have to use the engine to point the bow into the wind. In the Vendée Globe, the sailors are constantly changing sails, but they don’t have an engine. How exactly do they do it? What technique do they use to change or reef sails without motoring into the wind? I’d love to understand! Thanks 🎉

My highest admiration for fixing major damages in the southern ocean, they have nerves stronger than carbon fibres. But I always wondered: how does Antoine get on the mast, without someone pulling him up? I am a Swiss alpinist/climber and know the techniques to pull yourself out of a crevasse, but I doubt that this is suitable for sailors…
@midus7Ай бұрын
The longer I watch the race, the more I ask myself what role different factors play in the outcome of a race like this. On the one hand, of course, there is the technique of the boat and the skill of the skipper. But the weather gods' behaviour towards the competitors also seems to be a decisive factor. So far, the weather gods have favoured Charlie and the leading group. Now the situation seems to be changing for the chasers and especially for the group around Boris Herrmann. So my question to you is: how would you assess the proportions of these three factors in terms of victory and defeat? Regards Marcus

To think a chain plate pulled out? That’s a terrible reflection on the yacht designers.
@jamesaron1967Ай бұрын
@@WickBeavers I was very surprised to see that.
@WickBeaversАй бұрын
@ chainplates, as you probably know, attach the stays from the mast to the boat. If one or more blow, the mast goes. Naval Architects have just a few absolutes. The keel must stay on. The mast must stay up. The boat must always have a positive righting moment. The designers blew this!
@robertgeorge9909Ай бұрын
It's not actually a chain plate it is a pad eye. There simply was no backing plate behind it or it was to small. That is a builders error, probably over relying on the carbon deck.
