Taylor, I just want to tell you that you make my day. Every day when I come home from school I am so anxious to go on my iPad and watch your videos. Everything is perfect at this KZbin channel. But gosh, do you make me happy when I watch these videos. By the way, my home park is Six Flags Great America. Seaworld Orlando is a great park! Agreed and would love to see some improvements to the park! I will say Empire is a pretty decent Dark RIde and love the Penguin Exhibit after the dark ride, plus its great to cool off in the heat. i'd check it out next time you get a chance.

That's too bad that Empire of the Penguin apparently has a bad reputation, it's actually really cool (no pun intended). It's easily SeaWorld's highest quality ride in terms of the overall experience and immersion; I wish they had more rides like that in all their parks. It's stuff like Antarctica, Wild Arctic, Turtle Trek, and Journey to Atlantis that puts SeaWorld Orlando on a different level than its sister parks. I was very impressed by Kraken VR, but I guess now they've given up trying to make it work consistently. Hopefully an all-new VR experience similar to Battle for Eire will open up in that part of the park (Sea of Legends) with a Kraken-Atlantis theme. I like this park better than the other ones in Orlando right now because it has a great balance of attractions, great events, tolerable crowds, and much better prices (especially for pass holders).

When I went on journey to Atlantis in 2013 it was fantastic. It's my second favourite water ride. Behind Valhalla. Apparently recently it's had a refurbishment and it's not as good now. What's changed? Great review btw

My favorite water ride is Pulsar at Walibi Belgium and Poseidon at Europa Park, third is Valhalla, fourth is Atlantis, and fifth is Escape From Pompeii at Busch Gardens.

this is one of my favorite home parks tbh. Between the great rides, shows and exhibits I always enjoy my trips there. This and bush gardens are great educational and exiting experiences. It is really too bad that the park is less popular.

I love this park. However yes the attendance fell a lot in recent years. The most recent report (which came out today, May 17) said that this park had a 10% loss in attendance and a similar amount in 2016 when Mako opened. But I’m not taking it away from this park and I’ll always look forward to go there every time I’m in Orlando.

Empire of the Penguins is about the actual live penguins. The ride is just an intro to the habitat. I think people miss this point and judge the entire attraction on the ride. Besides, its fun little trackless ride that helps with the temperature transition into the actual penguin habitat. Being able to see the penguins without a glass wall is incredible. Sometimes (especially early on) the penguins miscalculate and come out of the exhibit onto the people walkways.

thanks for reviewing one of our go to parks in Orlando; Busch and Sea World. it is our go to park nowadays with younger kids because we are avoiding getting our kids addicted to other franchises. I enjoy peaceful time with my boys at the Sea Lion preserve with small to no crowds and sitting at Dolphin Nursery for 20 minutes along with the other exhibits, Arctic, Antartica. It is a different pace from the neighbor parks if you can learn to appreciate it, but you will come out well rested and not too poor.

My grandpa got us season passes back in 06/07 when Shamu was brand new. I’m sure it’s not a very good show now, but back then MAN it was an epic tale. Also, the crowds were much larger back then. Pre controversy. I’m happy to see Altantis and Kraken are still operating, hopefully next summer I can go back with MY kids and experience the two new rides :) ps. Yeah empire of penguin is not worth a line lol.

BoomerPlayz the average age of death for a seaworld orca is 14 years old whilst in the wild it is typically 30-50 years with some living much longer (some females up to 100). no matter how much the trainers care about them and try to treat them well, these animals simply don’t belong in captivity. they aren’t given adequate space, aren’t properly socialised, and their use in shows as commodities is just plain cruel.

recently, i got to go and i was able to see that firework show over the lake. im glad we didnt make it to the little stage they had for after riding mako because the show was amazing. across the lake in that little seating area next to the observation tower is the best place to because even though your across the lake, they play the music from the stage through the speaker system so you get the full firework experience. there is one thing that made me love it more than any firework show ever though. they used fire in part of the show. its really cool and i think you would love it to

I was last there seven years ago (so before Mako), but I also observed very short lines, mid-week in June. It's clearly not as popular a park as Disney or Universal, but for the coaster enthusiast, it probably has the best coaster lineup of the three. I'll definitely go back to ride Mako next time I'm down there.

Blackfish was (mostly) fake. It was more an adaptation of what actually happened. Most of the footage used of the attack was edited to have more sirens in the background. All the interviews were disgruntled employees that had been fired. So take blackfish with a grain of salt. Yes seaworld has messed up but blackfish is pure propaganda imo

A lot of people go to this park and do not ride anything. On my visit, when I was in line for some of the encounters, several people told me that they were not planing to ride any rides during the duration of there stay.

So, when Empire of the Penguin first opened, I was SO disappointed in it because I was comparing it with Universal and Disney. But last year when I went back, with my super low expectations, I loved it. Definitely a step up from Curse of DarKastle if you enjoyed that.

I liked your point about being surprised how much time you wanted to spend there. I recently got an annual pass for SeaWorld and Busch Gardens expecting to want to spend more time at Busch, but my first time at SeaWorld I also found myself wishing I'd come earlier! Don't be fooled by the smaller number of coasters! There's so much great stuff to do, and every ride had excellent re-ride potential. The theming and landscaping is surprisingly gorgeous. SeaWorld has a bad rep after Blackfish, but I can tell they're working hard to recover from it. I look forward to seeing what they replace the Orca stadium with once they phase out their breeding program. Kraken is definitely showing its age, tho. Time to replace that rust bucket for sure.

I’m sorry that you heard Empire of the Penguins was lame. It may not have the biggest thrill, but it is still a great ride! The aesthetics and screens are very lifelike, you feel like you are there, and the queue is amazing. At the end you get to see the live penguins swimming around right in front of you. Anyways, great review. This is my favorite park out of a lot of parks. I liked this better than cedar point and kings dominion. I think it has a balance of everything, great thrills, great food, great shows and great scenery. SeaWorld at Christmas time is the best. There are AMAZING shows, they have an awesome atmosphere, and beautiful lights. And are you doing a Kraken review?

Orcas have brains like we do and have emotions just like us. they are the humans of the sea. they live with their families their entire lives. this is torture. watching Orcas in SeaWorld is like watching a prison inmate in segregation. except they put them all together in a small little kiddie pool. Release your prisoners then ill go back to seaworld. Orcas travel 100 miles a day and dive up to 600 feet. the biggest pool sea world has is 38 feet deep. its like me and 5 of my friends splashing around in a kiddie pool. its disgusting. also the chlorine destroys their skin, they have nothing to do except hurt each other and bite metal things. its completely wrong in every way. dont support them

Haven’t been to Seaworld Orlando since 1987, when I was 9. Trying to decide between this and Universal Studios for a day trip with my kids while visiting Disney. Anybody have any thoughts? I’ve never been to Universal at all. I’ve been to Disney five times in the last decade, but my extended family never wants to leave. This time, I’m taking my kids with or without them. I have visited this park countless times. Last year, I was in Florida for 2 weeks, about 5 full days in this park. I never get tired of it. Their 3 big roller coasters are all amazing! Kraken before VR had better theming off the ride, and VR ruins all coasters, imo. Manta & Mako are both in my overall top 10 coasters. The shows at this park are great. Even so, the dolphin show they had before your visit was worlds better, Blue Horizons. The company does so much to help animals and the environment around the world, and they have always worked hard to stop the animal abuse and intrusions that a certain lying documentary tried to accuse Sea World of being a part of, which they are not. The penguin ride is nothing spectacular, but it was fun. If you're in a hurry and need to skip some things and it's a long wait, then don't bother with it. But if you've got the time, it is a fun ride and worth it. Just get on a wild ride (which isn't actually wild), not the mild ride.

Yup. I would use VR at home to simulate a roller coaster. That would be using technology to make a fake simulation seem real. VR on a coaster is simulating something fake on a real ride. It makes no sense. You miss the views, the giant structures, the head and foot choppers, and all the anticipation. It's like riding a coaster with your eyes closed. This doesn't even mention the hygiene issues, sickness from sync issues, INCREDIBLY long lines, reduced capacity per hour, and poor quality systems.

What is making me go to SeaWorld are the SHOWS and ATTRACTIONS like TURTLE TRECK and DOLPHIN DAYS, roller coasters aren't really my thing. I live in Florida and most of the kids here call SeaWorld as sort of a young kid sort of thing like Walt Disney. My kids don't even want to go to SeaWorld because of roller coasters, but the inspiration it has to offer. My son used to make videos for this Minecraft SeaWorld thing and he said he wanted to go back to SeaWorld ever since. His reason was to see the shows and get inspiration from the music and performances. My daughter isn't really a fan of SeaWorld but she would also like to go there too, but not because of the roller coasters. I have also had other conversations with my family and friends about the SeaWorld Park. Some of them having no clue about the Blackfish situation or nearly forgetting about it. The point I am trying to make is that roller coasters isn't for everyone especially for people who like marine life. They might as well go to SeaLife just a 5 min drive away from SeaWorld to the Orlando Eye. SeaWorld is a great park and has obviously changed a lot over the years but they have changed too much. I call for more shows and attractions and calm down on the roller coasters.

The SeaWorld branded parks have a very different draw than the Busch Gardens branded parks. Unlike Busch Gardens Tampa and Busch Gardens Williamsburg, the rides at SeaWorld are an added benefit with the animals are the reason for going. Manta, Kraken, and Mako almost never have a wait over 30 minutes even on the most busiest of days. Meanwhile, you’ll hear several announcements about shows being filled to capacity throughout the day. The rides are great but they’re not what guest expect or necessarily want from SeaWorld. SeaWorld San Antonio’s newest coaster, Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster, was a walk on the first year it opened during the summer.

Busch Gardens Tampa is getting an RMC of Gwazi so SeaWorld won't be getting one. So far their coasters by park don't overlap which is good since they are so close to each other. SeaWorld is supposed to be getting a launch coaster similar but faster than Wave Breaker at San Antonio. Probably similar to Cheetah Hunt but tamer and over the water. SeaWorld is a family park and needs more family rides as opposed to thrill rides. Mako, Manta and Kraken pretty much have the thrill ride category covered for now. Busch Gardens is the thrill park, not SeaWorld so much.
