Great Job SEB!!!! :D how do you do the ghosting at 2:01
@SebGee7 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! The ghost notes are mainly on the E and the AND of the beat. It's quite difficult to explain over a youtube comment but there's a similar exercise on this tutorial. Not the same groove or anything but it might give you a bit more of an insight into these kind of patterns. Hope that helps! kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYTPZmyvftGmaK8

How many years have you been playing these awesome cymbals? :)
@SebGee6 жыл бұрын
Close to 10 years now for all of these cymbals apart from the 19" Crash, I've had that for around 6. They've definitely held up an amazing of time! Not a single crack in any of them!

You should make a tutorial if you have the time on how to hit your cymbals so you can keep them for a long time ;) I had 2 cymbals who went bad because of poor hitting technique. Any tips? My cymbals now last longer but still some tips would come in handy :)

The main thing I'd say is just don't him them too hard, and make sure they are at the right angle in relation to your stick. Try and avoid your stick making contact flat with the cymbal but also not hitting the cymbal with the side of the stick on the side of the cymbal. If that makes sense! If I ever need to hit them (or look like I'm hitting them) harder for a video or performance, I chop across the cymbal rather than hitting directly down through. Hope that helps at all!

Thanks alot, I'm also focussing more on those things since a year or 2. I also make sure that the room isn't too cold, cold cymbals are less flexible and tend to break faster.

That's also very true!
