RTF2014. Demonstration of walking (caminata) and posture: normal and switching sides. Pay attention to how Sebastian uses his foot to "roll on" using the whole metatarsal. At the beginning of lesson the posture of a couple was discussed. Both should be facing each other head-to-head but with a shift to make room for the heads. The important points were that the follower (1) should not try to position herself snuggly in leader's right arm "cup" (too much off-center) and (2) the follower should not make a V-position by opening his chest in regards to the leader. If the follower does do, she cannot walk straight backward with both legs. With V-position she would be walking almost like doing cruzadas with each step. The formation of the abrazo should feel like hugging a barrel; not hugging one dimensionally straight heart-to-heart with the back hands. Basic level. During Riga Tango Fiesta during 2014-05-01 .. 2014-05-04. www.rigatangofi...
