@@kaitlynrowena5463 gonna try and not give any spoilers. For me, personally, it was because the poor guy just couldn’t catch a break. As someone who was rooting for him, it felt comically frustrating at times. There are a few cathartic moments in there that are just sooo perfectly performed. Also, at the risk of sounding co-optive, I could relate to Edward on a visceral level. I don’t have physical disfigurements and yet I could feel that kind of self criticism and the desire to want to suppress or bury parts of yourself that you think are unacceptable as per public standards.
