I think it’s because he’s a very shy and quiet person who doesn’t talk much and gets uncomfortable like he said, so he subconsciously sits away from the centre of the camera to make him feel like he is not in the center of attention to help ease his anxiety.

He said that people worried that he might not talk so they put Anthony next to him to make him talk and that worked. So I felt like that’s why sometimes he avoided sitting in the middle of the camera.
