@@wowiwhwbw Every good long-running series has these kinds of moments where one looks back on the journeys that got them this far...truly feeling as though we grew up as a part of these worlds, these stories. It's bittersweet how it makes us long for the simpler times when we first experienced them, remembering the friends we've made...yet left behind...but also in how it gives us more hope for the future, both for us and the journeys we have to march towards and the new friends we will make again without ever forgetting the old ones. Such a powerful and beautiful message this series echoes as the Velvet Room sings.

Technically, SMT IF is the birth of this series, but it's become its own thing, really.
To me, this song is not only what encompasses the series as a whole, but life. This song feels like falling in love. Looking at your friends and everything that you love and realising that even through all the hardships you’ve gone through and will go through, it’s worth it. Every single moment of your life culminated in you and that’s a hopeful feeling. This song gives me hope, this song IS hope. It’s like Philemon is about to reach out and tell you about how everything you’ve faced has been to mould you into who you are now. This feels like winning a super close game that you were certain you’d lose, the light at the end of the tunnel. This song encompasses life. Be Your True Mind

This theme deserves a full modern recreation. It’s one of the best pieces of music that Atlas has ever made
@tescoshortage2 жыл бұрын
The composers of the soundtrack really used the PS1s 24 channel MIDI sequencer to its full advantage for this game and the Persona 2 duology. Something as simple as the way the music flows from the moment you encounter enemies to the minute the XP screen closes just couldn’t even be achieved with CD-quality audio at the time. Another thing I appreciate about this soundtrack over other games that used the SPU is the samples used- namely compared to Final Fantasy VII’s choices. When you listen to Final Fantasy VII’s amazing soundtrack, you notice how-I don’t know-SNES-like the music sounds. With this game comes greater fidelity in the samples, even if some of them are more compressed than FFVII’s. tl;dr God bless the Sony SPU for allowing this music to be played completely interrupted through a mid-90s game console.

Idk why the beginning part 0:00-0:58 is probably sum of the best things I’ve heard from Persona ost as a whole. Something about it makes me very emotional, eager and overall sends shivers down my spine. I can’t explain it 😭 but anyways yeah this is the best rendition of aria of the souls

@OldEnemy15 ай бұрын
This is, without a doubt, the best rendition of the Velvet Room Theme. A debatable candidate for the "Theme of the entire series." Remixing the original Aria of the Soul, It channels Meguro's early classical influences with gorgeous soprano vocals and intricate piano harmonies. It is very similar to the versions heard in Persona 3 and Persona 4, except there is rich supporting orchestration and less clear sound quality. I will admit, hearing the same rendition for the past 18 years has sorta soured my opinion of said song since the motif is so overused but this was the perfect thing to use for this game's credits. Knowing that it's from the first game, it has aged so well, even after almost 30 years.
