US markets have smaller lots contracts - e- minis, even micro e-minis. Earlier we had had nifty minis, but they removed it. They should revive minis in futures and even bring in microminis in futures of indices and nifty 50 stocks. Then they can remove the intraday leverages. Also in US Mkts all stock options have a fixed lot size of 100. Same should be the system here too, The excuse that option lot size and future lot size shd be same for convenient hedging is a false/weak argument. It is enough if future lot size is an integral multiple of 100, the option lot Size. Those who do hedging will choose wisely how many option lots they want to use for hedging 1 lot of futures.

#SEBI should make a rule like account maturity like people who have active account for 1+ year give them 2-3x for those who are having account for more than 2 years - 5-8 x for them and so on and those who are very new like less than a year - no leverage.. let them learn first after a year everyone understands how much risk he or she can take.. U r correct.. Currently its very difficult to trade with low capital, its becoming timepass, not much profit. If this continues then it may take 2-3 year to come on track as a trader. Sebi 's new rule is like, Amir hi amir banega.. Jiske pas money hai vo hi trade karega aur amir banega. SEBI SHOULD THINK ON MARGIN RULE.

I was trading in equity to develop skills, now after learning Options, I started trading few lots from last month. Now because of this rule I'm so much demotivated. F&O is meant to be for retail traders and SEBI killed us. My total capital is only 15k and now I'm feeling helpless. I can only trade equity. The worst part is I can't even trade Commodity and worst of worst Forex scene is nor even good. I think this is it, my trading career is coming to an end, time to let go. All my hardworks.. late night studies..and courses which I bought all went in vain. I'm so so upset. I'm just helpless and demotivated. SEBI killed us. 🙂
