Great unboxing video. It's my favorite European Upright and I'm looking for a bipass upright with tools for my cleaning repertoire. It's a great whole house cleaner when you have the extension hose and a few extra Sebo tools.

What's the power rating of the suction motor Roger? Its on the label behind the hose on the side of the bag housing. I could see the power of the ET1 head was still 175W, so that means if its to get an A for energy, the suction motor must be quite low rated, so that the combined wattage of the suction motor and the powerhead would be around 700W. This means the suction motor must be something like just 525W, but I'm sure you didn't mean to overlook showing the ratings sticker on the side of the bag housing. Interestingly, the Felix Rosso i bought back in May 2014, did not come with the Kombi floorhead, but had a mini turbo brush instead, so they have changed the package lineup for the Rosso. Mine did not come with a soft dusting brush either, and neither, so it seems did your new Epower version. I wish SEBO would include dusting brushes, they are far more used by me than a crevice tool, and I'd be really stuck without a dusting brush. I use the one supplied with my X4 with my Felix now, as I was not prepared to spend more on buying another dusting brush because SEBO dont include one with the Felix. Oh, and my 2014 Felix Rosso did not come with any SEBO fresh air freshner tabs either. Have you still got your old Felix Rosso?

I put all the specifications under the video. It has a 700 watt suction motor so with the power head it gets an A rating. The ratings now go up to A+++ on the latest EU labels. Yes, I still have my original Rosso but it's packed away somewhere and I haven't seen it in quite a while.

So the total power draw from it when the 700W suction motor and the 175W powerhead are both in use is actually 875W then, and that really surprises me that it gets an A rating for energy being only 25W under the highest 900W limit - usually vacuums that are almost 900W get a C or a D rating. Very odd indeed how they work out the ratings.

Saw the sneak peak on Instagram of this and cannot wait to see the performance tests of this cleaner! I currently own a Vax Air Reach (purple) model and it is faultless at cleaning but has a few downsides. I am finding it difficult for my next cleaner to try a Sebo Felix or the E3 cylinder. I live in a two bedroom maisonette with 3 cats and my partner, I hope you can give me some tips and advise on which model to choose. I certainly won't be going back to a bagless cleaner! I noticed that the Sebo Felix has kinda the same function has the Miele Swing. The best Sebo for me is the D4 Premium, still is nice today.

Thank you for this. Very informative. I've just ordered this. Would you purchase the additional stair cleaning attachment or is the one provided sufficient? Seems more like an upholstery tool....?

There are several optional tools available on Sebo’s website. The small turbo tool is useful if you have pets and I find it better on stair carpet than the supplied upholstery nozzle.

I am surprised it only gets a C rating for dust emissions. I would think it would do better than that.

The pet version gets an A for emissions because it has an upgraded filter, but it could be fitted to other models in the range.

Hi Roger! I just bought a second hand Sebo Felix Premium in Color Fun. I cleaned it and refurbished it and everything seems fine. It works perfectly . But the Powerhead keeps turning of on my very high pile shag rug ( 4 cm pile) as if there was a blockage. Is this normal on very high pile??? I would appreciate your answer. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!

4cm is too long a pile for the Felix. The brush roll will keep shutting off to protect the motor and belt when used on very long pile. Use a straight suction head on your rug.

Why are the EU ratings so shit for this fancy vacuum? C for pickup on hard floors? I just don't understand how they grade these things in the EU... C for dust emission? That seems horrendous...

The carpet & floor pick up results have now been scrapped. In future vacuum cleaners will only display the energy use, noise level and dust emissions.
