@onetwothistledew4 ай бұрын
@@kristintaggart9381 Panic attacks are surprisingly different from anxiety attacks, as it depends on the presence of stressors! Panic attacks also come often without warning, while anxiety attacks are more prone to build-ups. Riley, in this case, is actually an accurate representation of an anxiety attack, since there are many stressors in play here! (For example, her best friends heading to a different HS, trying to fit in with a new crowd, and the hormonal changes during puberty)

No wonder this movie reached a billion dollars because it is an excellent, emotional follow-up to the first movie. I truly loved how they depicted Anxiety since even though she the's the main antagonist, she still wants what is best for Riley, just like Joy did in the first movie without realising how much she was shutting out other essential emotions ad was actually hurting Riley. I also appreciate how they made Riley more of a relatable character while simultaneously following her emotions and learning that they don't control who Riley is. I hope they keep exploring new emotions in potential future sequels because there is still so much room to explore other potential emotions and relatable stages of life.

Anxiety is not the villain, there is no villain, that's just how anxiety works. Anxiety was doing what she thought was best for Riley, just like all the other emotions do, they just want to protect Riley. And Anxiety thought she was doing so by being prepared for the future. We can't really stop anxiety, the more we control it, the more it destroys us. Anxiety stops the other emotions because this is what real anxiety does. They portrayed anxiety incredibly well in this movie.

I like that embarrassment is the one that chooses to go against anxiety and envy bc embarrassment can also be classified as shame, and doing the things that riley was doing would lead most people to being ashamed of themselves. I ALSO like that ENVY is the one who takes action to sneak out as, despite it being what lead to the idea, anxiety would probably stop you from acting on those feelings, but ENVY doesn't necessarily have anything to do with being worried about an outcome. Such attention to detail in this movie. And that's just the writing aspect, don't get me started on how beautifully animated this movie is and the detail PHYSICALLY too omfg...

7 minutes in and I'm realizing that a guys puberty is so much different from a woman's. I figured you guys would at least understand the horrendous BO. The entire movie felt so relatable. Lashing out when I don't mean to, lifting my arms for like 5 seconds and immediately throwing them right back down, and don't even get me started on height because that sucks (literally stopped getting taller at 12). Especially when you consider they were kinda right about it being 10 years. Around the age of 10-14 girls have their first puberty and start experiencing the stuff Riley did. BUT the main thing to note is women go through a kind of "second puberty" in our early 20s to balance out our hormones and finally be done with it (still waiting for it at age 20). So the movie was kinda correct that Riley will be living like this until she's no longer a teenager.
